Lavenham Guildhall

We spent an hour exploring the Guildhall, which has had an amazing history - it's transformed itself over the centuries over and over, happily rescued from decay by the National Trust and now home to excellent exhibits.

The Church of St Peter & St Paul

Reviewed By Big_Jeff_Leo - St Helens, United Kingdom

We were blown away at the view when we entered the main path to the church - you can see why this is a Grade 1 Listed Building that is regarded as one of the finest examples of Late Perpendicular Gothic architecture in England. The impressive tower is 141 feet tall and the interior has some outstanding fittings, including a painted rood screen dating from about 1330 and an octagonal font also from the 14th century. If you visit the wonderful village of Lavenham then make sure that you do not miss this outstanding church.

Had a fantastic meal and drinks at Number 10. Starters were fresh and beautifully presented, mains even better- especially the pot pie- and desserts were too tempting to resist. Delivering all of this with great service,a friendly and warm welcome and a in a Covid safe environment is a great achievement for all of the staff. Can’t wait to return when restrictions allow us to.
