The Jim Gatchell Memorial Museum is an regional history museum and is accredited by the American Alliance of Museums. The facility is ADA accessible. Open year-round (but check our website for winter reduced hours or holiday closures!). This is a very nice museum from a well-known family in this area. There is quite a collection of artifacts and history of the families and things that went on in this area going way back into the 1800s. His family‘s original cabin is on the property that you can look into.

Just dropped in the have a look. Totally awesome ambience - something straight out of the Old West. A must see if you are passing through - an even better experience would be to stay in the hotel.
