Clearwater Paddling

Booked the Wild Barra kayaking trip which was a mixture of camping and lodge based accomodation. The guides were absolutely fantastic, making sure everyone was well looked after and imparting tips to help improve paddling technique. Went for the fully catered option and was impressed with the food and how well my dietary requirements were met. The hosts were really friendly, and the location itself was beautiful, within a few minutes walk of the get terminal and village shops and cafes.

Islands of Adventure

Just spent a fantastic couple of hours out on the water around Bernera. Neil was a great host, full of local knowledge and amusing stories. Saw plenty of seabirds, inquisitive seals and a far away sea eagle. Also got to land and have a look around a superb little beach on Little Bernera. All this and coffee and biscuits too! Would recommend and will rebook next time we're on the islands

What a stunning place to visit.. Long way to travel but worth every minute. Great views over the beaches and sea. Machair in full bloom and swarming with all sorts of insects, plenty of bird life including the corncrakes which attracted lots of attention. I wish I could visit this beatifull place every year

Golden Road

We took this route by accident (!) but it was one of the highlights of our stay on Harris - absolutely breathtaking views, almost otherworldly in places. Be prepared to take it slow - there are lots of blind corners and more than a few stubborn sheep too!

Northton Temple

A really lovely walk with the dog. Wonderful photo’s to be had; just watch out for the cattle - there were 4 calves in the field and a couple of the adults were definitely telling us to keep away. We climbed down to the beach and gave them the space that they needed.
