This is one of the best manicured botanical gardens I have ever seen. When the summer flowers are in bloom, the Angelica, bleeding hearts, lupine, and roses are fabulous. If you visit in summer, make sure you leave time to just sit in this garden.

Not as well known as the zoos of Munich and Nuremberg, this is certainly worthy of sitting alongside them as the best in southern Germany. A wonderful Bird House is a definite highlight but there are plenty of other excellent exhibits here. A mixed enclosure for Hamadryas Baboons and Forest Buffalo stands out. A new elephant house is currently under construction.
