A very special, lovely stone country house
Reviewed By NewmansTravelWhen you first find this cute stone country house, it appears small and in the middle of nowhere. OK, it is kind of in the middle of nowhere, but what a wonderful nowhere it is! The property is fenced and gated and very private. From the front it appears small. Once you are inside, there is a lovely, well appointed kitchen and a huge great room beyond. On the main level there are two bedrooms and two baths. On the lower level there are three bedrooms and baths and another kitchen. Since it was only the two of us and our small cat, we stayed on the main floor. We were very comfortable and happy with our choice. The beds are pleasant, but in an old-fashioned way. Rather hard and bouncy! Not a "real" problem though. The views from the rear windows and from the back terrace are breathtaking. Luca was disappointed that we did not require breakfast. We plan to return to this lovely Italian paradise again next year with friends in tow. It would be a great friends vacation house...and then we may take Luca up on the B&B! Super place! And well located to a great restaurant and not to far into town. And, by-the-way, the castle-town you can see in the distance, is reachable via the road to the left out of the gate...many great surprises near this retreat! (NOT A HOTEL)

As basic as it gets in a nice setting
Reviewed By O3964VVericvThe location and view is breathtaking, the small and beautiful village nearby and the pool is excellent. So far, so good. The room however was “as basic as it gets”. Beds were very uncomfortable hard and the room was terribly hot due to lack of air-conditioning. And with the window open to get some fresh air we could hear people drinking and talking loudly on the terrace outside nearby and well after 01.00 hours. Breakfast - or what was left of it, croissants were rapidly gone before we came - was basic and with coffee from a machine. We decided to go somewhere else. The people at the reception were so kind just to charge the room for that one night, not for the remainder of the nights we already booked for which we are still grateful. The hotel may be appreciated by others, not by me.
