Outstanding warm hospitality
Reviewed By BMA3644I've stayed Le Muse in Sillico 4-5 times over the past 4 years, most recently Feb 2022. Always, the host Paola and her small team provide a warm and genuine welcome. I have arrived on a winter evening to find the fire in my apartment quietly burning - yes, there is good central heating, but the fire is a nice addition (not in all rooms, though). The kitchens are well-equipped, with everything you need if you want to cook yourself. Wifi can be a bit patchy. Sillico, the little village (less than 100 people) is very picturesque, lovely Italian hilltop village dating back to the 1400's, with friendly locals and fabulous views across to the snow-capped mountains. There is a great restaurant/bar in the village, the Belvedere, run by sisters Clara and Roberta. Understandably, the menu can be a bit limited in winter when you may be the only person there, but in warmer seasons, it comes alive with both locals and visitors, excellent traditional local food - last time I was there, the cinghiale (wild boar) stew was from a boar shot by Roberta's brother-in-law. You can't get much more local than that! Watching the sunset across the valley from the Belvedere terrace, with a prosecco in hand, is not to be missed. There are several other excellent restaurants locally, within about 5 km, great walking tracks (various grades and distances) in the hills around the village, walks are well-signed, maps and lots of local knowledge available from Paola. Highly recommended.

Reviewed By jaruniStayed a week with children. Nice rooms as per photos on web-site. Very nice and charming hostess. Breakfast splendid in nice area. Pool area could use an up-date (tiles loose, weed around pool and concrete wall that needed paint). Also stairs leading down to pool-area a little too rustic for our taste. The views to the mountains are absolutely stunning. Unfortunately the same mountains are used during week-ends as "race tracks" for the local and tourist bikers. So if you're looking for absolute silence and tranquility this is not the place. Also the many dogs in the neighborhood can be disturbing, if they get going during the night.

A Fantastic Place!
Reviewed By Ale188644We spent two days in this wonderful agriturismo in Garfagnana. Everything was perfect. We also felt safe as all the Covid protocols were implemented and respected by the owner and the guests. Our kids loved the place and enjoyed the special meals prepared for them (and we did too!). They loved the pool and they could run around all day in this magnificent garden. Luigi - the owner and omnipresent manager - makes you feel at home and he has a very special way of hosting you. After two days it felt like we were saying goodbye to a friend. We hope to be back soon!
