Seven kilometers away of the beautiful beach of Episkopi you will found Arcus Suites, a whole neighbourhood of old Venetian stone mansions of the 14th and 15th century, located in the heart of Argyroupolis, Lappa in Rethimno. The entire complex of buildings was declared in 2005 by the Ministry of Culture as «Preservable archaeological monument». Since then the mansions and the environment space renovated with respect for the style and architecture and created 5 independent suites. All the suites retain their architectural features and fascinating atmosphere of the Venetian people, their predecessors. Ambitious dome, stone arches, burrstones, axes, arches, stone fireplaces, wooden floors and ceilings, interior gardens, cobblestone courtyards emphasize and highlight the charm. Reviewed By David LThe quality of the restoration of this magnificent old house and the beauty of the well maintained garden seduced us during our stay in April 2022. The place is very calm and relaxing. The presence of lemon trees allowed us to make our own juice in the morning. The house is ideally located in the small village of Argiroupolis, in the center of Western Crete, which allows you to explore the surroundings in all directions. The beautiful little town of Rethymon, on the north coast, is 30 minutes away and Plakias, on the south coast, is 35 minutes away. Chania is also only 55 minutes away. The only things that for us were not up to the standard of what one would expect from a "luxury suite" were the lack of servery equipment, the very limited bath amenities, the comfort of the bedding and the messiness, outside, near the suite. This was not catastrophic and can easily be improved. We thank our host, Yiannis Deligiannakis, for his thoughtfulness and availability.

Reviewed By monika_billenSpending here two weeks in winter, I enjoyed the hospitality of a whole family and splendid views with changing wheathers. The room was cosy, clean and well equipped. During my stay, I had great walks in the historical sites of Ancient Lappa as well as in nature and into the modern village of Argyroupolis. A perfect place to relax, to explore and to enjoy!

An experience NOT to be missed!
Reviewed By EFFIEPAPADI 've stayed in Villa Enatha with my boyfriend for a week and it has honestly been THE BEST experience I've ever had in a rented place!! The village is picturesque and the room was traditional, beautiful, crystal clear and incredibly tidy! Room cleaning has been an almost everyday thing by the incredible host Mrs Evangelia and the house had every little thing one could need to cook, rest and relax! Most importantly though,Mrs Evangelia and her husband had the warmest heart one can hope to find in a host! They made us feel like home and were always making sure we were enjoying our stay! They were always there to help us and provide us with everything we might need,(ALWAYS in a discrete, non-intrusive way) including daily local treats- a beautiful surprise!After two days there we felt like we were old friends and hated it when we had to leave!! One thing is for sure: we WILL come back very soon! Thank you for everything from the bottom of our hearts. The experience and happiness you gave us couldn't have been bought no matter how much money we spent in another rental! You make people from abroad really understand what greek hospitality is all about!
