Mt Amos Climb

This is more than a walk as there is a lot of rock scrambling. Please make to not do if wet or there has been recent rain as it will be very sloppy in parts. Also make sure you have good hiking shoes and we also found hiking poles and gloves useful. The 3km return trip can take 4 hours but it is worth it - the views are spectacular. A great memory, a must for anyone who likes a bit of adventure.

Friendly Beaches

We stayed overnight at the Friendly Beaches camp ground - a free camp overlooking the beach. Sites are made separate by natural vegetation. You cannot book so first in best dressed. No power or running water. Drop toilets with toilet paper but no hand washing facility. An amazing location - spectacular scenery. Cold overnight so rug up. Would recommend.

The oysters here were absolutely divine and soooo cheap. I had oysters with smoked salmon and brie - delicious. They also had mussels, scallops and you could have a takeaway of oysters, mussels and a huge lobster cut open ready to just scoop out the flesh and enjoy.
