Superb meal with an incredible view from our table on the balcony by the bar. We had speciality charcoal bread while we waited for our fish of the day and seafood pasta, and ending with possibly the best keylime pie we have ever tasted! The wine was good too!

Read the reviews on this place beforehand, and many of them were negative, but thought we'd give it a try anyway. Our lunch, a burger and scones and cream, were fine, and delivered within 10 minutes by a friendly member of staff. Coffees were good...MoreDear DidsterBenalla, Thank you for stopping by to enjoy a meal with us and enjoy the fantastic view. Since taking over ownership of Freycinet Lodge we have been upgrading and enhancing the property and there is still plenty left to come. Kind regards, Brad

Friday night dinner.
The thing that struck us straight away was that the venue was dull and a little worn. It definitely felt like it had seen better days.
Not a cheap restaurant- the wine list in particular is a little over the top.
The service was friendly but a little stilted - we felt like we were part of a live test for a hospitality college.
The meals were the saviour here. All meals were outstanding.
I’m not sure if I’d go again because it felt a bit dated but I think it’s the best in the area if you’re not a guest at the likes of Sapphire.
We requested a table at the window but with hindsight I would have sat at the front of the elevated level so the view is easier to enjoy.

Nice dining room, very friendly service and plenty to choose from on the menu. Adults enjoyed the scotch fillet and chicken schnitzel, while the 7yo devoured the sausages and mash and 2yo was pleased to face off with a typical nuggets and chips meal! No room for dessert! The kids room was closed but this would be a major bonus when it’s back in action.

This place was chockers at lunchtimer with a couple of busloads of tourists plus other travellers. Plenty of outdoor Seating options. Great range of seafood from lobster to sea urchin to the usual prawns, oysters, scallops, calamari etc etc. We just had the oysters - done 3 ways - and all good although not the biggest (they had bigger ones available au natural). Definitely worth a visit. Staff ran a well oiled service and coped pretty well with large numbers. Patrons are expected to clean up after their meal - fair enough too.

We stopped here to have coffee as it was close to the Quad Bike starting point. My daughter sadly had to pay $6.00 for each coffee and they were terrible. Do yourself a favour and head to the other coffee shop further around which we learnt later. This was was recommended by locals.
