Great and really informative brewery tour led by one of the directors. The tour also includes some beer tokens, which simply had to be used. The brewery tap is great as well. Enjoyable way to spend a few hours on a rainy Saturday.

We were invited to a wedding reception that was held here and we had an absolutely fantastic time from start to finish So much thought has gone in to every area of this venue with tables made out of barrels and crates turned in to works of art - very funky, lovely ambience and a great place for a wedding venue The venue is on the site of a brewery and in a room next to the reception area is where the beer creation happens. There is a van outside the venue where all the food is cooked and we were given lots of burger options and ours were cooked perfectly and we experienced great attentive service all round There are retro arcade machines here which for those of us born in the late 70’s / 80’s, will define appreciate as well as 2 pool tables. There is a really nice bar area and an outdoor seating area with blankets to keep people warm which was a nice touch. This was a brilliant place for a wedding reception. I would also recommend coming here for a few drinks too as it has something for everyone and is unique to other bars / wedding venues

Twisted Barrel Ale is a Brewery and Tap House located in the new creative arts development, FarGo Village. We offer a wide range of beers brewed in house, guest beers, cold and hot meals and snacks. We are a completely vegan business making us probably the only cruelty free Brewery and Tap House in the world! We also run regular theme nights, rock music nights, quizzes, brewery tours and more.

I feel completely safe going into this venue during the pandemic. The Track & Trace QR code is readily displayed, and the gentleman on the door ensures that all rules are explained fully before directing you to a table. All tables are well spaced and can be booked ahead (although we have been fortunate to have been given a table on each of our visits without having reserved them). the 'Round' app is easy to navigate, so drinks can be ordered and paid for online. Drinks are delivered quickly. We had stopped drinking in here before the pandemic as the smell of fried food was overpowering and unpleasant. Now that the kitchen is closed, it is a much more pleasant environment.
