The Monastery of St Gerassimos is a site to behold. In addition to decor that will captivate your interests and the skeletons on display, the place entirely reflects and reveals a different time place culture and life once lived- for the Lord. Every one should visit this place. It is unique from all the sites I've seen and one to remember!

Hisham's Palace

The ticket seller was apologetic that the construction under way to display mosaics and other features at the site is not yet complete, but there is still enough to see of the courtyard and buildings of this early Islamic palace, misnamed Hisham's palace for reasons I forget. An easy side visit if in Jericho for the archaeological site of Tell es Sultan and easy to reach from the main valley road up the West Bank.
