We visited Diggerland Strood yesterday as a treat for our grandsons, 8, 7 & 4 and had the most amazing time. All the staff were really friendly and helpful, even while queuing to get in (which didn’t take long) one of the managers called Julie made us all laugh and was very informative about the Covid rules while in the park. She was really nice and made sure the queue moved quickly and efficiently through the tills whilst observing social distancing. As soon as they got in the park the boys were off and running. They absolutely loved it. The staff on the rides were very firm on the rules and regulations regarding Covid and height restrictions and very professional about safety and the equipment they were operating. We took a picnic for lunch and there were plenty of picnic tables for us to sit at. The area was kept very clean. The boys loved SpinDizzy, the Dodgem Cars, go-karts, digging up earth with the diggers, driving the diggers and being driven round by the staff in massive JCBs. The shop staff were also really friendly and didn’t mind how long the boys spent looking for something they wanted. At the end of the day they were absolutely worn out but haven’t stopped talking about Diggerland since. Definite 5 star from us.

Drusillas Park

Widely regarded as the best small zoo in Europe Drusillas Park offers a fun finding-out day out. Brilliant play areas including Go Wild! Go Bananas! and Amazon Adventure. Plus a splashpad, Hello Kitty Secret Garden and African-themed three-ride attraction Go Safari! Get nose to nose with nature with our close encounters. It’s no ordinary zoo!

I took my nearly 6yr old and nearly 3yr old to Drusillas a few weeks ago and hand on heart, it was amazing. Not one moan, whinge, sad face, dull moment for the whole day. Daddy rode on the Hello Kitty car in giggles, the 6yr old is now fascinated with the Lemur Family, the 3yr was wowed with the train ride, and I was content in watching and taking-in the laughter, fun and great day we were having. Everything was clean and well stocked, toilets smelled fresh, there was no queuing (apart from to get in, and even that didn't take long), we saw lots of happy animals (no empty pens or cages) and the restaurant food was excellent (highly recommend the jacket potatoes - yum!). We will be returning shortly, to see the rest of it, as the 3yr old was pooped in the afternoon, so we left out the Maze, parrot feeding, and large part of the play area. We can't wait to return for another family fun day. Thanks for having us! x

I have to say this was the best day out we have ever had! My little boy is obsessed with peppa and he had the most amazing day, his little face from start to finish was a picture! A very happy family we are today! The park was immaculately clean, staff friendly, queue times were reasonable, all rides accommodated all ages, everything was colourful and looked so magical I could go on! If I could give one critique it would be that we found the food inside peppa world quite limiting and would of liked things like chips and other hot things but it really wasn’t a problem. The muddy puddle area was our absolute favourite, we had gorgeous weather so my little boy was in his element running around in his nappy with other babies splashing in the water. The park area and penguin area is also fab!! Best gift shop ever too! All in all a great day out!

Visited yesterday with my 10-year-old daughter and had a great time! Very reasonably priced, with two pricing bands (one ride or unlimited rides) and there is lots to do! Great play areas, friendly staff, a lovely walk through the woods and round the lake, a maze, ornamental gardens and, of course, the steam train rides! We were there for approx 4.5 hours. The story of how the family who own it set the park up from just a field and a dream is inspirational too, I even bought the book! Highly recommended for families!

Buckmore Park

Nestled in the North Kent downs and surrounded by picturesque woodland lies the beating heart of British karting and following the recent redevelopment by the late John Surtees CBE, it is put simply, one of the most stunning motorsport locations in the United Kingdom. Buckmore Park has been making pulses race for over fifty years. Since its launch in 1963, it has become the breeding ground for many young drivers, eager to cut their teeth before moving on to different types of motorsport, this list includes Triple F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton & Jenson Button. But aside from being a bona fide, blue-blooded race circuit, Buckmore has something to offer everyone, no experience necessary. Whether it’s for that first taste of motorsport or just another box checked on the bucket list, thousands of adults and children flood to the circuit each year to experience the twist, turns and adrenaline rush of driving on hallowed tarmac.

Our 15 year old son had an amazing morning on his junior karting session. The staff were really helpful and attentive. The set up of score boards etc made it feel like a professional race and the hire of overalls, gloves and helmets was included. Would highly recommend.

My girls (aged 5 and 7) and I love Fishers Farm Park - we loved it so much the first time we went that we bought an annual membership! The staff there are friendly and helpful and there is so much to do there - in nice weather, the girls love the donut rings, skyfall, barrel bug ride and all the outside playgrounds; in rainy weather, they love the numerous indoor play areas and all the shows. Yesterday, they went to Fishers to meet Santa and I was so impressed with the attention to detail - rather than just a few minutes meeting Santa, they could make reindeer food, go through the naughty and nice detector, meet santa and then finally chose their own toy! They also loved taking part in the interactive nativity - my eldest daughter was on seventh heaven being cast as Mary and riding a donkey!! The panto was great too - am impressed at the talent of the staff who wrote and acted it. Thank you Fishers!

Great fun in an English seaside-y way. If weather not baking then expect a chill but more than made up by excellent inflatables and kid chasing. Or is that Dad chasing? If weather hot then get there early. You can always get out before lunch and eat hot dogs and 10/10 New Forest ice cream while you watch from the fence line.
