Have you ever realized that Colombo is built on layer upon layer of history that runs back to the ancient Kingdoms ? There is so much to see and do in Colombo, hidden from the first glance. Colombo consists of breathtaking architectural sites built during the ancient Kingdom of Kotte and under the ruling of three European Colonials namely Portuguese, Dutch, and British. After gaining control over Colombo, the British Colonials, planned Colombo as a “garden city”. The Fort, the innermost area of Colombo, housed the Parliament and Governors’ House, and had been the administrative capital of British Sri Lanka. today’s Colombo is truly a multinational and multicultural city with historically important religious and sacred shrines. Since Colombo is the commercial hub and the center of culture and art of Sri Lanka, through a Colombo city tour you will be able to explore things that most visitors always wanted to know about sri lanka, but fail to do so before the end of their tour.

Inclusions: Local taxes, TripAdvisor Experiences brokerage fee, Bottled water, Light refreshments, Professional guide

Exclusions: Gratuities

It was an awesome tour with lots of different food. Everything was included and you can also suggest food that you would like to try. It was only me who booked the tour for the evening and as a female traveller I felt safe and taken good care of. My guide was really polite and we had some nice conversations since he was really nice and his English was fine. It was a perfect tour to start my travels in Sri Lanka, to get an introduction to the local cuisine by a local and the best way to get to see the major sights of Colombo. Highly recommend!

We were met at our hotel by our guide for the day and he was waiting for us as we arrived at the front of the hotel. The car and driver were good - the traffic was busy as it was rush hour and there is a lot of roadworks to build a new bridge between North and South Goa. Some places of interest were pointed out an route and the stops we made were interesting. We enjoyed the day, including lunch at the Spice Farm where we had a buffet including fish, chicken and vegetable curries. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and answered any questions we had. An enjoyable experience.

The park offers everything that is needed for an exciting safari. Great landscapes, many animals, especially elephants! We were very close to the elephants and were very lucky to be able to watch a whole herd and also some baby elephants. Furthermore, I would like to emphasize our tour guide - not only did he inspire and excite us with his very good mood, he also saw many small animals with his trained eye and answered our questions thoroughly. The 3 hours passed by in no time and gave us many nice memories. Would totally recommend booking a trip with these guys :-)

Buddhima arrived at my hotel in a tuk tuk to take me to the local markets where we bought fruit and veges for our cooking feast. She happily explained all the veges and fruit that I wasn’t familiar with and we just enjoyed walking and chatting through the hustle and bustle of downtown Kandy. After arriving at Buddhima’s house and meeting her lovely mum and sweet sons we had tea and some Sri Lankan sweet delicacies and then donned an apron to begin our cooking feast. Everything was explained along the way and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. What followed was a delicious meal of Sri Lankan curries and a wonderful experience which is highly recommended to young and old, make or female. Had two trips booked with henry. One sigirya rock and one safari to see elephants Unfortunately due to corona virus govt closed wildlife parks Which was disappointing Henry was quick to email the info and refund our fee As arranged we were picked up at 6am by henry to go to sigirya rock On way we stopped at dambulla caves and henry organised a guide to explain about the cave history which was very informative Then travelled to sigirya rock Again henry organised a guide and helpers which at first we thought we wouldnt need but in the intense heat they were a blessing assisting us up the steps. Normally the guide said there would be 7000 people oer day there but we were two of only a dozen so felt like had place to ourselves which in a way is sad for the effect on local people The rock is well worth climb when you get to the top and guides very good Met up with henry again and we told him about our disappointment at not seeing elephants As a result henry went out of his way not only to find elephants but to have an interaction He found a spot near the road where an elephant and his mahout were bathing in the river The mahout invited us to jump in and bath the elephant We spent 40 minutes allowing the elephant to shower us while we groomed him in the water Utterly fantastic We the drove 10 minutes and henry stopped car again got out a pair of binoculars and pointed us to a wild herd of elephants 500 yds from the Totally amazing experience one we will never forget Best day ever all thanks to henry Totally trustworthy reliable genuine nice guy 100% recommend to anyone
