I had some wonderful adventures during my stay in Lisbon. Breathing Arrábida tour was, hands down my favorite. The guide, André, was an excellent communicator, flexible guide, and has obvious roots with the small towns we visited along the way. It felt like a true local experience. The sites were inviting and stunning and the people we met were warm and charming. I highly recommend Breathing Arrábida.

I've done several activities with vertente natural, such as speleology, coasteering and kayaking although this is the first time I'm writing a review and this is the first time I took a friend with me to do coasteering. I had a wonderful experience every time always leaving with the feeling that I should go back for another activity with them, and my friend felt the same and she'd definitely go back to do some other trip with vertente. Their guides are well-seasoned in the activities they do and they're wonderful people as well - always friendly, always professional, quite accommodating and guiding and encouraging those who feel a bit overwhelmed during the activity and providing slightly more challenging routes to those participants who ask for challenges. Above all, the thing I love the most is the camaraderie with the people I meet there during such activities, and the typical sweet of the region ("farinha torrada") that they provide the participants by the end of each activity. I hope they continue doing that. I definitely recommend them 10/10..

My girlfriend and myself decided to take this canoe trip after a lot of research, where one can do something like that in the area around Lisbon. Our Tour was scheduled at 10 a.m.. Per E-Mail we requested a transit from our Hotel in Lisbon to the Beach, which is not that easy to reach with only public transportation. So Marco from Discover the Nature picked us up at 08:30 a.m. and on the way showed and told us a lot about the Ponte 25 de abril, the area around and on the way to Portinho de Arrábida, the natural and maritime parks and so on. It was really interesting. Since we arrived a bit early, Marco offered to introduce us to a small cave with a chapel inside, which we gladly accepted. There he also told us a lot about the area and even took some pictures for us. Afterwards we went to the beach and got introduced to our guide Fabio who told us about the techniques and so on. The tour itself was very entertaining. At the end we couldn't figure out, how almost 3 hours went by that fast. We canoed across the coast, visited two beautiful beaches, where we stopped shortly to rest, refresh etc., saw several small mini-caves and canoed around Anixa, a small, picturesque rock-island vis-a-vis Praia do Portinho da Arrábida. Fabio meanwhile told us some things about the area and specific sights and also offered us some snacks and water. At the end he came to aid another couple, who fell over the canoe into the water and helped them put it on top again and get back inside, which probably isn't that easy with life vests on and paddles to handle. After the tour the guides (thera was another tour going on) called Marco, who brought us back to our hotel. Overall it was a great experience worth the cost and time.

Booked the private surf session, totally worth it. Pick-up on time, very friendly staff. Instructor was great, obviously had a lot of experience whilst making sure we (and the people around us) were safe. For someone who is somewhat allergic to sports and tried surf for the first time, it was a great experience, and it is highly recommended. The photos+Videos came the same day and even those were of good quality and nice moments shot. On our next visit to Lisbon we are first checking these guys' availability on their other packages, then booking anything else.

Coasteering is a recent activity, mainly in Portugal. It is an activity in which one crosses the coast line, swimming, climbing, jumping into the water and walking. This activity allows you to discover scenarios and nooks that otherwise are impossible to see. In this specific activity we also conjugate rapelling and other rope maneuvers such as zipline and banisters. At the end of the activity the group will arrive at one of the wild beaches of Sesimbra and from there will be boarding a speedboat returning to the Port of Abrigo de Sesimbra.

Together with our 12-year-old daughter and our 13-year-old son I had an appointment with Octávio for canyoning. Before we had called briefly, I had given our data and Octávio had sent us a Google Maps link, with which we have easily found our meeting point. The communication was pleasant and precise. Octávio was on time. Afterwards we kept our equipment (everything fitting, clean and in good condition) and dressed together. Afterwards there was an extensive, but not boringly degenerating briefing. The following footpath took about 5 minutes. The later way back also. And in between... 3 hours of fun, lots of water(falls), abseiling, jumping and a little climbing. All the time with a very pleasant, attentive and nice Octávio as our guide. We all had a lot of fun! Back at the meeting point (there were toilets here, by the way) Octávio had a simple but tasty and for all sufficient meal for us. As a special treat the next day we received a download link with over 300 photos Octávio had taken of us climbing, jumping and hanging in the waterfalls. Conclusion: fully recommendable Thank you very much for this beautiful day, Octávio!

10. Walk to Arrábida Crosses

Avenida dos Náufragos, Av. dos Náufragos, 2970, Portugal André Ferreira dos Santos

A walk that will leave you speechless. Starting at the Sesimbra Marina, we will quickly enter the cliffs that accompany the coast of Sesimbra, up to sea level. Here you will find the famous Ribeira do Cavalo Beach, a paradisiacal beach with translucent water. Here the idea of the permanence of some "inaccessibilities" in a changing world is incredible. Do you want to go on this adventure with me?

Inclusions: Typical Cake of the Region

Exclusions: Private transportation, Walking Shoes, Bottled water
