Seoul is the business and cultural hub of South Korea, where skyscrapers tower over Buddhist temples. Take it all in from the N Seoul Tower, built atop a peak in Namsan Park. The teahouses and shops of Insadong give you a taste of Korean flavor, which you can further experience with a visit to the grounds and museums of Gyeongbokgung. UNESCO World Heritage Site Changdeokgung Palace is a fine example of authentic ancient architecture.

Took 1/2 day DMZ tour (booked on viatour). A must do. Third tunnel was a highlight. Our guide SP Hong was excellent! Super informative, lovely person, and overall excellent. Went so far at the end of the tour to walk us inside the subway to teach us how to use the ticket machine. Without his help we would have been lost for sure!

We had an amazing experience during our session! Daniel, the CEO of HaB, made us feel so comfortable and he went above and beyond to take the best quality photos for us. He was very creative and genuinely cared about each photo that he took. The photos turned out better than we could have ever imagined and the video he made for us was beautiful as well. It was also raining during our shoot, but Daniel continued to shoot for us so we were very grateful for that. All in all, the pictures and video were both extraordinary and the service HaB provides is undoubtedly second to none! Thank you so much!

After hearing so many good things about the Dark Side of Seoul Tours I decided to finally get up to Seoul and take one with Shawn. The tour was wonderful. Jam packed with lots of really interesting information and of course tons of creepy stories along the way. Shawn is very knowledgeable and is a great storyteller so it made for an extra fun experience. Luckily no ghosts on our tour (at least that I could see). I would highly recommend the tour to anyone either visiting Korea or living in Korea who want to learn more about Korean history and of course folklore. Also the podcast is really great so after hearing so many different ones it was nice to take a walk in some of the places mentioned.

Insadong is a neighborhood permeated with everything artistic, eclectic and creative. Explore it with one of our local Seoul hosts, flitting between traditional tea houses and even more traditional porcelain shops. Stroll along the largest street, Insadong-gil, pop into an art gallery or a stationary store, discover ancient writing techniques or stop by Jogyesa Temple. You may want to also see Ssamziegil, a market/mall hybrid - quirky, right? After all of that, you might need a break, and a traditional tea ceremony sounds like just the thing. Within 24 hours after booking you'll receive a short questionnaire about your personality and interests. Based on your responses, you'll be assigned a like-minded host. Your host will communicate with you directly to suggest an itinerary to help you discover what makes the city unique. You will also agree on a meeting time and place. Our guide was both kind and competent. She accommodated our very specific and probably unusual itinerary to orient a new student to the area. I can't recommend highly enough having a local guide in an unfamiliar city, especially for travelers who don't speak the language. It is an absolute must! I will look for a local guide wherever I go in the future and hope they are as kind as Oki.

Had an amazing day out on the mountains! We met mid morning at Bukhansan UI station. A handful of shops in case you need last minute snacks, lunch, or even hiking gear. We headed up the mountain, it wasn't too busy as I prefer to hike during the midweek. The pace was great, not rushed at all, really based on your ability I would say. It was great to get have someone who knows the mountain, and can give some insight into the history of Korea and the mountains! There were also Buddhist temples in the mountains which you pass by, and we made sure to stop, and take time to admire them and snap some photos! Super friendly, good conversation, and just a really amazing day. Would highly recommend any of her tours as she is super nice and fun! She even brought a nice print out she made of some simple Korean phrases and the alphabet if you are a foreigner, which will help guide you once you get off the mountain! We hiked up the and down off the hill which I prefer, instead of hiking in and out ( up and back down the way you came). We hopped on a bus at the end of the hike and she took me to the nearest Subway station, so it was easy and quick to get back! Highly recommend, Was super fun and I hope do more tours again! Thank you again for a great day!

THIS TOUR IS DIFFERENT THAN OTHER TOURS! I focus on food and drinks. The main focus is drinking at each spot while we eat some outstanding food. I provide 5 hour tours. I will be taking you around the neighborhood that has the best food in Seoul, HANDS DOWN! There are tiny alleys that even Koreans don't know about! I have taken many people around here including my native Korean friends and they will agree that it is the best of the best! I promise you won't be disappointed in this tour. Just make sure to bring a huge appetite since we will be trying a ton of dishes! I do not take you to places that you will be able to find on google or are commercialized. I take you to places you would typically not be able to go to on your own.

Inclusions: I supply 3 drinks for the group to share throughout the tour.

Exclusions: The food is not included in the price of the tour. Trust me! The food is super cheap and this tour is still cheaper than other tours that have the food included!

We had an amazing time with Mike on his food tour. It was our favourite part of our trip. We were skeptical at first to pay the price of the tour because we went to the market ourselves a couple nights prior, however it was totally worth it. We wouldn’t have been able to try all the authentic Korean dishes that only the locals know without Mike’s guidance and recommendations. Excellent tour!

I thoroughly enjoyed her class today! We went to the market, and she explained many of the things we saw. She purchased a few snacks for us, then we went to her place (4th floor, no elevator) for the cooking class. We made bibimbap, seafood pancakes, and a chicken dish. The instructions were clear and simple. The food was good!
