Our tour with Ecuador Rainbow Travel was superb. We wanted to take a handful of us to see three amazing spots. Our driver Miguel became a great friend and important resource for us. Robinson provided a great buseta for transport, room for luggage and food we needed in our subtropical birding stop. First we went to Salinas de Guaranda for a wonderful tour of cooperatives that brought prosperity to the little town. Miguel found a beautiful route around Chimboraso that got us to Intag where the Colibri Cabins provided rooms, a kitchen, birding, hikes, and trout from a neighbor which Miguel and my kids cooked to perfection. After a stop at the hot springs, we drove through Cielo Verde to visit another friend, do a workshop at the Mashpi school which is revolutionizing elementary education with a forest school project (find them on the internet for more info). Miguel was a careful driver and close collaborator on trip details, and he was constantly giving us tips on Spanish, info on medicinal plants, sharing his personal knowledge of the Amazon (his real expertise). We very highly recommend this service no matter where in Ecuador you are starting.

Where to even begin.. if you need to know how was the service then you can stop reading, cause we had AN AMAZING TIME with white cab and will recommend anyone this tour guide. We had Cesar as our driver and originally intended for a cab to pick us up from our hotel and take us to a zip-lining tour. When we got picked up Cesar politely asked who recommended the zip-lining tour because the one we planned on going to was not as good. He explained the difference between the one we were going to and the one he knows of. We took his advice and decided to go with the one he likes. BEST IDEA EVER! We explained to him we were on strict time schedule and offered to do the waterfall tour and be back in our hotel in time. It sounded to good to be true but we trusted his judgement. The tour never felt rushed and Cesar was super kind and knowledgeable. You can tell he loves his job and it just made the time being with him feel like you were with family. He would take pictures of us and made sure we were always comfortable and safe. My boyfriend and I were both impressed with his service and just felt very grateful we had Cesar. And best part, we got back to our hotel before the time we needed to be! Thank you Cesar! We appreciated the experience.
