Uva Province (Sinhalese: ඌව පළාත Uva Palata, Tamil: ஊவா மாகாணம் Uva Maakaanam) is Sri Lanka's second least populated province, with 1,259,880 people, created in 1896. It consists of two districts: Badulla and Moneragala. The provincial capital is Badulla. Uva is bordered by Eastern, Southern and Central provinces. Its major tourist attractions are Dunhinda falls, Diyaluma Falls, Rawana Falls, the Yala National Park (lying partly in the Southern and Eastern Provinces) and Gal Oya National Park (lying partly in the Eastern Province). The Gal Oya hills and the Central mountains are the main uplands, while the Mahaweli (Sinhalese: great-sandy) and Menik (Sinhalese: gemstone) rivers and the huge Senanayake Samudraya and Maduru Oya Reservoirs are the major waterways.

It was the best experience ever! Athula is not only a driver, but also a perfect tour guide! We got our trip arranged very quickly via email, and the price was reasonable. Definitely cheaper than the prices you get from the street. And this was without haggling. We booked a trip from Budget Taxi Sri Lanka to World's End to Kandy, so it wasn't a standard two way trip either. The car had AC and we were comfortable. Our backpacks fit in the car nicely too. The driver was very friendly and drove safely for the whole trip. We stopped to eat in some tea factory he recommended and the food was very good as well.

Perhaps the most famous is Lipton Tea’s original plantation near Haputale, which still grows and sells a variety of teas A visit to sri lanka is not complete without visiting a tea plantation the tea trail is one of the best experience the clients can have about the tea plantation The tea trails is a walk about four to five hours it is walking in the most beautiful tea plantation with very nice landscape and panoramic view and a good experience for the High tea country and the panorama that Sri Lanka can offer also you will see the tea ladies plucking tea all day from 8 am to 4 pm rain or shine and also you will join the tea ladies to pluck some tea for an half an hour and you will visit one of the tea ladies house for a cup of Tea, and you will have a picnic in the tea plantation and you will meet only locals not a tourists

We totally enjoyed our two treks.The first was through four different tea plantations. The scenery was beautiful and our guide was very good. I really liked that the treks were just the two of us and our guide. The second trek was through different villages in Bandarawela. We met many different people along the way it was a real cultural experience. We had a wonderful guide and were invited into her home for tea. When our trek was finished we had a wonderful lunch prepared by Deen’s wife. Both treks were non touristic; it was exactly what I was looking forward. I highly recommend this experience!
