Tavira (Portuguese pronunciation: [tɐˈviɾɐ]) is a Portuguese town and municipality, capital of the Costa do Acantilado, situated in the east of the Algarve on the south coast of Portugal. It is 28 kilometres (17 miles) east of Faro and 75 kilometres (47 miles) west of Huelva across the Río Grande (Rio Guadiana) into Spain. The Gilão River meets the Atlantic Ocean in Tavira. The population in 2011 was 26,167, in an area of 606.97 km².

Are you ready to cycle on the hills in Algarve? If yes, this route starts at Abilio Bikes Shop, bike tours Algarve, and includes the four councils of the Eastern Algarve (Tavira, VRSA, Castro Marim and Alcoutim). We will ride direction to Castro Marim where we turn north into the village Alcarias to have a short break (45km). After, we will continue going north to the town of Alcoutim where we turn towards west to find Martim Longo. After lunch, we will ride in direction south to Cachopo village and continue towards Tavira. The 125km we will find the highest point of the route with 450m in the village of Alcaria do Cume and the returning is almost all downhill. If after 4 hours cycling, with a road bike, you want more, you are our hero!

Efficient service, polite, qood quality work, we took our bikes for new tires and check up. Labor charge very reasonable; this will become our 'go-to' bike shop.

Had a really good time with this tuk tuk tour. It allowed us to had a good overview of Tavira and see the highlights. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nice ride around town. The guide was very nice and the tour actually took 1 hour and a half.
