Including Brujita, Garrucha and Willy Jeep. Also, Arvey makes it so safe with a support van following you. We actually had Bruce plan a 3 week tour of Colombia for us and it was wonderful! From Bogota to the Amazon to Zipaquira to Barichara to Medellin to Guatape to Pereira to Salento (Loved the hike in Cocura Valley up to the Acaime Reserve!) to Santa Marta to Cartagena. WOW!! What an experience thanks to Bruce and his outstanding guides! So glad we came. *Apparently TA doesn't like the word Spouse but that's who traveled with me. :-)

A breathtaking experience, quite literally! Our original plan to trek Nevado del Tolima was unfortunately disrupted by an overzealous Amazonian monkey and it's teeth. Eduardo was extremely kind and helpful and instead of being in amongst cloud forest on day one spent a not quite so interesting day in hospital with me! Plans and arrangements were calmly reconfigured and we set off for the hills only one day late! We then spent an excetional few days in the company of Eduardo and his knowledge of the environement; trekking through the cloud forest, staying in mountain Fincas amongst a few fellow travellers and welcoming locals, up into the incredible Paramo ecosystem and on to Paramillo del Quindio, before slowly winding our way back down through the Paramo and cloud forest once again. A truly truly wonderful experience! A very tough few days for our bodies as we simply had not prepared ourselves for the altitude prior to arriving (can recommend being at altitude for at least a few days before..!) Usually reasonably capable of taking on arduous adventures, I was reduced to several paces at a time at 4500m! Although I'm sure it is not quite what he had in mind when setting out to meet us at the start of our adventure, Eduardo was exceptionally understanding and looked after us from start to finish. We fell in love with Colombia and the trek with Montanas Colombianas is a huge part of that! We can't wait to return one day to reunite and tackle Nevado del Tolima! Thank you!

Great place to stay to discover the coffee region! La finca is growing its own coffee and provides a coffee tour to transform you in a coffee expert! You end up harvesting, processing, grinding and drinking your own coffee! Fantastic tour done with Robin! Then the stay itself is heaven. Swimming pool, long chairs, beautiful scenery and great food. Nelly and Lina are great hosts and make sure your stay is the most relaxing one! The location allowed us to visit the nearby attractions like Cocora and San Vicnete thermals but we wish we could have stayed longer there just lying down, watching the birds, eating mandarines from the trees in the garden and drinking coffee!
