My mother and I did the 10-Day Wildlife Big 5, Murchison Falls, and Gorilla Trekking Safari with Home to Africa. Firstly, if you’re booking a trip to Uganda, you’re not going to regret it. It’s an amazing country, with beautiful people, great food and incredible landscapes. In comparison to other countries more renowned for their wildlife, I can say from experience Uganda outshines them all as you can see all the animals in numbers and from close range. Before arriving in Uganda, all of the organization went smoothly thanks to Hedmond and his team. Emails were answered promptly and always very informative. As soon as we arrived at Entebbe airport, our guide Benon welcomed us with a smile. We didn’t know it at the time but Benon would turn out to be one of the greatest highlights of our trip. I can’t recommend this company more highly and if you get the chance to have Benon by your side you’ll be very lucky. He always went the extra mile to ensure our trip was perfect. His enthusiasm for his country and its animals was addictive. Not only did he drive all over Uganda with us, he provided a valuable insight and treated us as guests in his country, always taking good care of us with a constant smile. He’s such a gentleman, and on parting ways at the airport both my mother and I were extremely sad to say goodbye.

Being able to observe a family of 16 + chimpanzees interacting with each other and having one walk just is a truly surreal experience. Finding the troop was not a given as they move continuously in their search for food. Our rangers had to double back and search a different area before we had the good fortune to come across the family. The trek was not difficult but be ready for it to take longer than stipulated. At the end of the day, being able to spend time with these highly intelligent and human creatures was worth it all. Highly recommended regardless if you are a nature lover or otherwise

We did a 15 day Discover Uganda private tour with Bosco from Enchanted Uganda Safari in first half of January 2021 and we could not have been happier with our choice. Bosco is a very knowledgable guide and very calm and very flexible. Due to Covid19 we had most of the lodges for ourselves, and had access to the closest gorilla families as permits were far from sold out as they usually would be in January. Bosco also helped us with an extra shoebill excursion and to get a covid19 test done in due time for our flight out (results took less than 36 hrs). All lodges we stayed at were great places with amazing food served every single day.

Nice driver, good vehicle (with pop-up roof), perfect 'safari camping'-style accommodation right outside the park boundaries and two fulfilling game drives with loads of zebra, African buffalos, waterbuck, giraffes, warthogs and a posing hippo. Communication with Thijs (owner) ran smoothly, making a sharp offer and readily adapting to our group's (9 people) needs. Although we experienced some minor miscommunication about the mountainbike tour upon arrival - which does not take place within the park itself, but amidst many zebra in the grasslands around the park - efforts were made to clarify these as soon as possible. This trip to Lake Mburo NP is a perfect (weekend) trip at agreeable distance from Kampala!

We did the gorilla trekking (which takes 1 day) and spent two more days at Lake Bunyonyi and at Lake Mburo. I definitely would recommend the tour as Ivan really is an amazing, sympathetic and funny guide and the sights where he took us are absolutely stunning! The tour was perfectly organized and we spent the nights in very nice accommodations.
