Fantastic day out, the tour guide was so informative and told us information about the history of the island and info on each stop in between so the drive to each destination was not boring. It did not stick exactly to the itinerary but we did not mind as it was all so interesting and we still visited places we would have missed if we did not do the tour. Highly recommend.

I found this last minute & we went on our last day. The tour guide picked us up from across the road of our hotel. The sea caves are beautiful with the ship wreck close by (be careful & watch your step, it’s uneven). The lagoon was absolutely beautiful. It was cloudy when we arrived but was told the water was 26 degrees centigrade. It’s very deep when you first get in but a short swim towards the shore & you’ll be able to stand up. You spend an hour in the lagoon & then another hour in Latchi harbour for something to eat & a browse. Baths of Aphrodite were nice but I think there’s a larger waterfall on the nature trail, but you won’t have enough time to see it as you only stop there for half an hour (be sure to try the ice cream at the shop!). The wine tasting was ok, they have a selection of whites, reds, rosés & liquors; you can buy some bottles if you like what you taste. Only reason I haven’t given this 5 stars is because the bus was tiny & uncomfortable for me as I’m 6’3”. The tour guide was knowledgeable & educated us on the trip. Beware; if you wish to stop off at a place other than where you got on...tell him first otherwise he will NOT be happy - he scalded us for not telling him. It was a lovely day & for €32, you really can’t moan - there are local excursions for just the Baths of Aphrodite for €30 alone. Recommended to all :)

We visited the zoo the other day, it has most animals you could think off, they seemed well kept for the most part, a zookeeper mark allowed us to get a once in a lifetime photo with a giraffe, and you could tell he cared deeply about the animals, thought it was a great day out. We did think the monkey enclosures could be bigger and were a little on the small side, again with the birds and the ostriches. But other than that, the majority of the animals seemed to have big time enclosures and plenty of space to roam. And they are all rescue animals from what I understood, so have deffo got a better quality of life. I wouldn’t eat there though we went to the cafe which had run out of hand sanitiser when we entered, so we informed the staff, but then when we left it still hadn’t been refilled which during corona times is quite irresponsible. But if you like going to the zoo, take your own lunch and hand sanitiser and you will have a good day out ????
