We're expats, formerly of Devon in the United Kingdom but now of Chinon. I've always cycled and loved my bike, and for the best part of my adult life, always loved wine... this is me! With my family, I now find ourselves living amongst vineyards, with wine producers creating something very special on our doorstep. Chinon wine is recognised as being very special across France, yet throughout the rest of the world it's lesser known and we're keen to spread the word about the local wine through vineyard tours! We spent years and years holidaying in France before moving here, never quite summoning up the courage to head in through the big barn doors of a wine producer, but now we've started we can't stop! This type of visit is so important to many independent producers, and we're now keen to share this experience with you. First and foremost our vineyard tours by bike are designed to be a fun experience, for you, family and friends to make the most of your time in the Chinon area.

Inclusions: Use of bicycle, A locally produced picnic is provided, Full day tour, Safety helmet

Exclusions: An e-bike cost is not included in the price, but is available should you wish to rent one for an extra cost of €15

Thanks to Quintin for the most memorable bike tour ever! I had booked this for 8 tough critics and was really worried it wasn’t going to meet expectations. Quintin took us to 3 very different wineries, from a small little known producer which only sells to a local market through to a much larger producer who sells to a global market. Interesting to note the US can’t get enough of Chinon wines. Lunch was amongst the vines with a glass of rose and the most amazing tarte Tatin! Quintin is the host with the most, he and his family have clearly mapped out a great life for themselves in a beautiful town in the Loire, you will not be disappointed!

We travelled a long way to visit this wine farm due to all the great reviews. Getting there we were informed that we can’t do a tasting as a tour is about to start, but we can come back in an hour for the tasting. Disheartened but still eager we went to a small cafe (with 2 difficult toddlers in tow) to wait an hour. We returned after an hour only to be informed that now they are closing. A lot of effort on our side for nothing. I little bit of consideration from their side would have gone a long way.

An lovely few hours spent in the amiable company of our host Sebastian, (whose english was excellent). The tour of the vinyard, underground caves and cellars was informative and interesting. We sampled 5 wines. The highlight of the day was the picnic lunch in a secluded and romantic spot close the the vines. (Definately worth the upgrade). The food was local and high quality accompanied by a bottle of wine. Overall a good experience and if there were any disappointments it would be that there was no tour of the Chateau included and the area where the tasting took place was underwhelming in a yard near the admin area. A cellar location would have been better. Recommended.
