Bikepark Winterberg has some rad downhill trails which we checked this month during the week under perfect weather conditions. Out of the 12 trails one was partially closed due to maintenance. All the others were taken care of. We chose to avoid the weekend since it can be very busy. Especially at the lift due to COVID regulations where everybody is piling up to put on the face mask. A beany works easier. The rental bikes we had (commencal free rider class) were the cheapest full suspension but worked perfectly for our skill level. Skilled employees providing all necessary info and prepped the suspension well to our weight. Both bikes and lift tickets are available at their rental place. Woman pay half price during weekdays on the rental! At the bottom of the hill, next to the lift you can clean your bike using waterhoses. You can also practice how much to mount your bike on the lift using a special stand. Recommend for small people before going in to the lift. Restrooms are available at the rental place and at the bottom of the lift. Parking your car can be done on paid spots and a bit further for free. A great place for some downhill fun but bring your full face helmet. It’s highly recommended. They do rent them at de bike rental but quantity is limited.
