White Rock Pier

Family Day was the day we chose to walk the Pier. For this small town girl it was a little overcrowded. With that said, everyone we met was friendly, enjoying the stroll and lots of picture taking. Together we had a wonderful Family Day watching all families take in the sunny day, ice cream cones, trains passing through and rocks on the beach. The sunset was perfect!

White Rock Promenade

Nothing more relaxing than walking the White Walk Promenade at any time of year. Yes you have to pay for parking in the area but well worth it for the relaxation on the walk along the Promenade and on the pier.
A great way to spend some time with picnic tables along the way to sit at to just relax or eat your food you got up at the top street level.

White Rock Sea Tours

Whale Watching Take an unforgettable 5-hour journey through the San Juan and Gulf Islands, experience breathtaking scenery and marine wildlife. This enchanting journey features secluded bays, secret coves, and spectacular world-class scenery. We seek out killer whales, humpback whales, porpoise, sea lions, seals, and others. The boat takes lunch and breaks on the Islands. Favourites include Port Browning, Poet's Cove and Port Sidney. This is an unforgettable trip of a lifetime you will not forget. We depart the White Rock Pier. Harbour Tours Enjoy a relaxing but exhilarating cruise along the shores of Semiahmoo Bay, Birch Point, Kwomais Point, cruising past the infamous 49th Parallel markers, the Peace Arch Monument, the resort with its gold rush and cannery historical structures, before heading out into the Bay to take in the sights and take photos. Keep your cameras at the ready to capture harbour seals, porpoise, eagles and other wildlife. The tour is 30 40-minutes. You will experience the thrill of riding in a Zodiac Hurricane 733. Sunset Cruises The view is breathtaking and there's nothing more than a relaxing 40-45 minute cruise on Semiahmoo Bay at sunset. There is something about warm ocean breezes especially when combined with the sound of water lapping on the bay. Seating is limited to 10 people and there is only one sunset so be sure to book early to avoid disappointment.

The day started in White Rock with a thick blanket of fog that would have made most other captains tremble in fear and cowardly return to the dock. Captain Andrew is not one of those captains. His years of nautical experience had provided him with the skill and fortitude to confidently and safely navigate us through the straits and narrows to dock in beautiful Sydney. Andrew was also able to name all the Islands along the way and give me some history of each one! Coupled with Andrew's thorough knowledge of the water ways and keen instinct, Guardian 2 was equipped with state of the art navigation instruments which kept us on track and safe. His boat and equipment is top notch which matches Andrew as both a captain and person. The full body life suit he provided kept me warm on what might have been the coldest day he would be out in. I highly recommend a trip with White Rock Sea Tours! One more thing - head located below deck!!! (toilet)
Thanks again, Andrew!

Blue Frog is an intimate recording studio in White Rock that opens up to a incredible music venue on most weekends. The studio holds about 110 people, so you are always up close and personal with the entertainment. We've seen Jefferson Starship, Jim Byrnes, a Jersey Boys performance, R & B All Stars, and even the California Beach Boys.
Always check their event listings for R & B, Soul, Jazz and even Classical. The price point for tickets is very reasonable at $45-$60.00 and all seats are the best. There is a small lounge that serves Wine & Beer and a nice souvenir shop too. This is a must visit establishment for sure. Now, there is a negative: Taxi service is poor and for some reason, that last two times at Blue Frog the staff seemed put out that we asked them to order Cabs. Seems to me, if you are serving alcohol, you should have at least the energy to call Taxis for your customers..otherwise a true gem in the lower Mainland.

This small centre is packed with brochures for lots of places and activities in the broad area, and there is someone from the tourist office to provide personal advice. Unfortunately, it seems that this centre will be closed later this year due to work to be done around the waterfront area.

White Rock Beach Beer Company

Reviewed By truenic - Vancouver, B.C.

Any time we venture out of our neighbourhood, our first though is growler, the second, where can we fill it?
Cue visiting family in White Rock and that's what took us to White Rock Beach Beer Co.
They had two beers on tap while we were there-their Pale Ale and IPA. We had our growler filled with the IPA.
Two of the 3 dudes who own the joint were there and were super friendly and excited about their beers and business. An absolutely positive experience.
I get the feeling that this is White Rock's best kept secret (so far) but once they move into the space next door, at least doubling their current space, it won't be a secret for long.
Thanks for the mini-tour guys and cheers to a successful future!
