Voss Folkemuseum

Moelstertunet is a picturesque farmstead, with sixteen buildings surrounding an open farmyard. All of the buildings are still standing right where they were when the last family moved out in 1927. Walking through the farmstead will give you a unique insight in building traditions and living conditions in older times. The oldest building on the farmstead, an open-hearth log house, dates from the early 1500s. In the nearby exhibition hall a comprehensive exhibition will tell you more about how people lived and worked in Voss in older times. The museum also displays temporary exhibitions throughout the year. Voss folkemuseum has a huge collection of artifacts, folk art, tools and other objects. There is also a big archive, a small library, and one of the biggest museum collection of photos in Hordaland. From Moelster you have a wonderful view of Vossevangen and the Vangsvatnet lake. At the entrance you will also find a small cafe With a great view and a Museum shop. May 18th - August 31st: open daily 10-17 September 1st - May 16th: Mondays-Fridays 10-15 Sundays 12-15

Vossabadet

In Vossabadet, which opened in 2017, we have something for everyone. Our biggest pool is our 25m pool, which is up to the international competition standard. With its six lanes there is always room for both the recreational and competitive swimmers. In the weekends and holidays this is also were we put our obstacle course. The characteristic diving tower in Vossabadet has its own diving pool connected to it. Here you can jump from one, three and five meters. With its 33 degrees Celcius, our training pool is a lovely place to spend some time. This pool is especially popular with children, families and elderly. Check out our opening hours, time schedule and prices on our homepage. Welcome to the pool!

Voss Gondol

Voss Gondol is the largest and most modern mountain gondola in Northern Europe. It brings you from 56 to 820 MASL in less than 9 minutes. During the gondola ride, you will be overlooking Voss town centre, the Vangsvatnet lake and get a panoramic view of the many mountains surrounding Voss. At the top, you find scenic walks and Voss' largest restaurant (with homemade, local food). Welcome!

We had a day in Bergen and took the train to Voss. The new (July 2019) gondola departs from the train station, over the tracks and up the steep hill to the ski resort at the top of the mountain. The gondola cars are large and provide beautiful scenic views of Voss, the lake and the valley. We saw a few hang gliders floating down off the mountain and landing on a field near the lake. There’s a brand new restaurant at the top with a limited menu. Hamburgers were delicious. Looks like it will also be a lot of fun in the winter for skiers. We had an uplifting experience!
