This is of surprisingly high standard for a municipal museum. The 500 yen admission fee includes the loan of an audio visual device which provides a commentary in English. The displays are well presented and interesting. A set route proceeds through the legends and folk tales of Tono and then the history and traditional way of life in the valley and surrounding hills.
