Legoland Malaysia

Reviewed By niceguynic - Taguig City, Philippines

I didn’t have much expectations going to Legoland. Price was ok compared to Disney where in you have to queue for an hour per ride. Malaysian crew were polite and courteous. Rides were unique (well because I’m so used to Disneyland) my daughters loved the horse ride in the Kingdom Zone.
The Water Park section is a tad small compared to Singapores Water Park but all in all it’s a more controlled environment for my kids which is great.
A must try if you haven’t experienced Legoland Park yet.
Food is where it needs some work. Compared to other theme parks Legoland is on the poor side on the food department.
All in all great experience for me and my daughters.

Johor Premium Outlet

Reviewed By IanW-QLD - Brisbane

While you must respect that this is Malaysia and not Europe or Australia you generally have pricing expectations when you visit a "Premium Outlet" of "Direct Factory Outlet"; some stores here are ridiculously expensive and I honestly doubt that they are at all viable for the local market.
The choice of brands are fantastic - we saw European products that we did not know existed - you are literally spoilt for choice.
The location is pretty remote; we took a taxi over and then rang them to collect us to take us back to JB. This worked out really well.
The architecture and the layout of the whole establishment was first class; we were impressed with the size and variety of retailers; although many were anything but "Outlet Sores" as their pricing was absolutely ridiculous by any standards!
The food court was definitely set up for local cuisine and once you realised that it worked on a card system it was fine; we enjoyed the local fare which was very moderately priced for the quality of the food.
There are also some decent cafe's dotted around the area and it was easy to find refreshment and public toilets.
While I personally am not a huge fan of "Outlet" precincts this one is one of the best we have visited and my wife managed to locate exactly what she was looking for; so it was a great day out for us.

The escape room puzzle is similar to Singapore, thus i recommend that they must update their themes every half year though. The ticket per person cost $38.20 rm during weekend and public holiday. We chose prison break and before we went in, we must kept our things in the locker provided. We are being handcuffed and blindfolded and them bring into a dark room. The time to solve the puzzle is 45mins, the puzzle is good to keep us occupy but in the end we didn't really escape and stuck at the last puzzle, we have a really fun time together. There is no doubt that this is an impressive structure and well worth a visit but be aware that it is in all true sense of the word - under renovation and, according to our guide, has been for some time so don't expect to be able to go inside and view it. Its all peeled paint and cracked masonry from the outside. I would say you would need to spend no longer that 10 minutes given its 'at work' status.

It was a public recreation park with free park. Green environment with trees and flowers. What you can do here?
1. Jogging in the park. It takes about 15mins to make a circle at typical jogging speed. You can use the exercise facilities around the park area too.
2. Huge space for kite flying. This might be a good sport if you bring friends or kids in windy days. Prepared a kite in your car just in case you are in the mood of flying kite. There are a few stall selling kites on spot too.
3. Kid playing ground. If you are bring children below 7years old, this is the place to drain your kid energy. The facilities are in good shapes. Usually crowded with children in the evening ard 6.30 pm. The park close by 7pm.
4. Gated RC car circuit. For those RC car owners who want their toy to have a round in the circuit can make a request at the security (main gate entrance).
5. Roof-topped pondok/rest area. You can have your quiet time there. Since the park is surrounded with trees, expect mosquitoes in those pondok. Bring your own mosquitoes repellent if you plan to stop by these pondok.
6. Hungry after a walk, there will be some mobile food stall at entrance area. Usually only available 5-7pm. Snack and drinks.
7. Cycling. You can bring your own or rent a bicycle there. But not all the rental bicycle were found in good condition, so choose wisely at the rental station. Safety gears like helmet and ankle protector were not provided.

It is great to have such a shopping complex with a departmental store like Metrojaya just across the Singapore causeway, conveniently located! It houses quite a number of designer labels and the more affordable brands
Popular brands like Sephora or Kiels are there along w cafes Obriens and donuts which are all well loved by Singaporeans
Many F&B outlets like recipe, with an angrybird park for the kids or family with children...
From the cheaper range items like Daiso (from jp), it also has an ok-foodcourt, this complex is very spacious and comfortable
My only wish is for Metrojaya to improve - while it houses a dept for living and décor, it should provide more choices of cutlery like chopsticks and place mats etc , other than that it has some unique brands like Bb vinition which are not too bad , in terms of towels and festive décor, eg christmasy ones, you are definitely spoilt in this dept store
