Lying on the Mediterranean Sea, it is approximately 56 kilometres (35 mi) south of Genoa and is set on a promontory. While nearby Portofino and the Cinque Terre are probably the best-known tourist destinations on the Italian Riviera, Sestri Levante is becoming quite a favorite among Italians. We have been visiting Sestri Levante regularly for over 40 years and the Baia Del Silenzio has to be one for the most scenic parts of the Ligurian coast - if you’re up for a healthy walk/climb then I highly recommend you go up the well-marked footpath to Punta Manara (40-odd minutes walk each way) and you will get an unforgettable view of the bay of silence.

Our family was blessed to have vacationed in Siestri Levante and had Tama's delicious amazing gelato. This gelateria is a family owned friendly place. Davide is very passionate about making the best gelato with the freshest ingredients using fruits, nuts, herbs, coffee etc... the flavors are outstanding!!! This street and the streets surrounding are amazing. Gelateria, restaurants, bakeries, souvenir shops, clothing and shoe stores. Pedestrian friendly, no cars makes it so much to eat, shop or just people watch.
