The temple looks boring from the front. Walk further in towards the back and u will see a kind of little forest or park. The autumn foliage is simply gorgeous and out of this world. this place is an easy 500m walk from Coex Mall so u can easily combine this with a visit to Starfield Library and a meal in Coex Mall.

Received an invitation from Seoul Metropolitan Gov. I really enjoyed my visit there. A lot of exhibition being displayed. So happy to learn about EXO history and also NCT. I am a big fan. There is also a souvenir shop where you can buy official merchandise of your favourite group. Price is reasonable.

This place has got to be one of the most lovely and unexpected spaces to find in a shopping mall. Located in the huge mall on the main Gangnam boulevards, this Staffield Library is the focal point of one section of the mall, towering nearly 3 storey. The cafe located amongst all the volume of beautiful book shelves on their upper floor (on top of the escalators) serves excellent cakes, coffee and has an outdoor space to catch some sun on cool winter days.

Bought 4 tickets to coex aquarium via Klook and it cost us approx SGD$25 per pax...with the experience! Many interesting sea creatures (penguins, sharks, walruses etc). especially love their interactive stations where they allow u to touch the sea creatures (eg starfish, clams, fishes). They even have a fish spa area! Very suitable for families with children:) My elderly parents loved it too! Totally worth the trip ❤️ the layout of the whole area is v well thought out. Foreigners also get to experience a free hanbok experience:)

The Coex is an exhibition and shopping centre. The stores range from top end retailers to department stores along with restaurants, a library and movie cinemas. It is a large centre with kids activities like LEGO playland and cafe at Brick Live. There is an aquarium and many hotels that surround and have entry into the shopping mall. There is also an airport check in if you fly certain airlines eg. Korean airlines or Thai, you can check bags in like you do at the airport. An airport bus leaves every 20 mins and you book tickets an hour before you want to leave. Price for the bus is 15000 won each adult, cheaper for children. Clothing prices aren’t cheap and if you want discounted clothing you need to go to the outlet shops. There are lots of coffee shops where you can buy food and beverages for around similar prices to Australia. The library is big with floor to roof bookshelves and many Koreans come here to just read. A great place to visit.

Another one of my favorite places to re-visit in the Gangnam area is Seolleung and Jeongneung Royal Tombs. I come here a few times a year for a peaceful walk. This is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site and it houses the Royal tombs of King Seongjong, Queen Jeonghyeon and King Jungjong. Due to Corona Virus, the complex wasn’t too busy, but there were a few people out walking wearing their masks. The adult ticket only costs 1000 won (a dollar) and it is open until 9pm. I came on a Sunday so it was a bit busier than normal. It is not too far from Seolleung Metro Station and about a 10-15 minute walk from Coex. There are many cafes and restaurants all around. The area is paved, but there are small hills and or stair planks to walk to the tombs. But if you can skip some of them and just stay on the main ground which is wheelchair accessible. Modern, clean toilets on site as well.
