This is Medieval city located in the heart of the island and it has lots of buildings inside. Churches, Mosques, shops, restaurants and houses. It must be visited at least 1 days to understand and enjoy...You can take amazing pictures. Only the problem is little bit expensive cause it is very touristic.

We we're staying at the Atlantica Imperial which is about 20 minutes down the beach from the start of the walk. You can do this walk with trainers however proper boots would be better as it is very rocky and uneven. From the Casa Cook complex in Kolymbia where the walk begins it takes approx 30 minutes to reach the restaurant and car park of the monastery. It will take a further 15 minutes to climb the 300 big steps to the top however these are relatively easy to climb. The huge dissapointment being there is no monastery to go in just a church and selling outlet at the very top. This is made up for by the magnificent views where you can see as far as Lindos.

The Synagogue is tranquil and beautiful. There are 37 Jews living in Rhodes at the moment and you can tell that this place is well loved as the centre of the community.

Great place to spend several hours seeing the surrounding old castle,walking down the street of the knights then shopping in the small stores, and having lunch in the square or just having a greek beer and people watching! Lots of places to eat, shop. Many Cats around if you are a cat lover. Places where you can pay a small price to see ancient artifacts (castle museum). Recommend taking a tour of the Castle area including this historic with free time afterwards to do the above activities. Without the tour you will miss a lot of the history. Our group tour did struggle a little with the cobblestone road and fairly steep hill so if you have problems walking it can be a little bit of a challenge.

Pass Evi-hotel and a small Roundabout. Continue about 350 meters then go right towards Liberia-hotel, on the left there is a Tennis court. After about 650 meters you will find a crossing (Profitis Amos Church) here take the middle street way, so you will find after 250 meters two yellow buildings. Passing by take the street right hand up the hill. Then turn left.

A ruined Venetian castle on the west coast - Fantastic views of unspoiled countryside and coastline. Free entry to the castle ruins (and only about five minutes walk from the parking area)

Our private tour with Rhodes Taxi and Limo Service included a visit here. It is said that Saint Paul stopped at this small rocky bay around 57 AD to preach Christianity. A small, picturesque Greek Orthodox chapel dedicated to Saint Paul commemorates the visit. The bay is almost totally surrounded by cliffs, with just a small opening into the sea. There are 2 Beaches at the bay, separated by rocks. The water is clear and a beautiful shade of deep blue. Combined with a spectacular view of the Acropolis (which by the way provides a spectacular view of the beach), the Bay is stunning! This is the perfect place for a big fat Greek wedding! If only I were single and Greek.

Open from 0900-1800 Mon - Sat in Season - Wear long trousers and something that covers your shoulders - or borrow a shawl from them to adjust your clothing.

The Synagogue is beautiful with its large hanging crystal chandeliers and old wooden benches, The museum is filled with interesting history including garments that were worn by various individuals, eating vessels and items used in worship. Give yourself time to take it all in and learn.
