Lovely stretch of beach where we would stroll to walk off our evening dinner.Just to note it does get quite chilly of an evening in early October
I was ok but my wife needed a shawl.The area was pretty quiet as we believe it closes in another few days for the winter.I can imagine it’s buzzing in summer and plan to return very soon

Very impressive bar with a high quality live music and a huge drink menu what is also impressive. You can find there extra class drink but the singer is a talent!!! Highly recommend!

Just a bit outside of the Makarska city you can find your way up to the beautiful Biokovo! We enjoyed a ride,nature,view and also staff working there! They are so friendly and helpful! Also,when is hot,this is a great way of cooling down,at least a bit:).

We have visited Korčula town during our sailboat trip in Croatia in June this year. First view f the town was thus from seaside, we admired the towers, remaining from the ancient fortification, that had been removed in 18th century or so. The town looks open, unlike the quite-near Dubrovnik, hidden from the seaside view by its huge walls.
Later on we visited the town on foot and enjoyed the ancient streets and lanes, and especially the St. Michael´s Church. We did not have time enough to have a dinner, though many restaurants and pubs were very inviting. We hope there woud be another possibility to come and see more. The town was very romantic!

It was my first dive ever! I was a bit scared! But my diving instructor relaxed me , made few jokes and showed me that there is no reason for fear :) It was nice feeling to feed fish underwater!!
They are small but extreamly profesional team, I did Discovery course, and now my plan is 1 star diver :)

Day trip with this group was not nice experience. Staff was not friendly att all..no friefing about diving and when i ask help with equipments they were, wery rude. Staff dont take any contact, dont go there alone, take own buddy with you. It was long, alone day. Only helping people was other divers. I cancel my other day trip. I didin't feel safe and staff was so big dissopointment. I hope place owner do something about his staff. You lose paying customer, because they dont want to come back. I wait so much diving in Croatia..beautiful, clear water.

23km of single-track precipice-edged road make for a hairy drive; and is definitelty not for the faint-hearted. Follow the blue Jure cycle signs to the James Bond-esque radio tower at the 1762m top. Best sunrise views mean entering park at c.530am (end August) but well worth it. Bring a sweatshirt as chilly at that time of the morning. Take your time to explore the walks too however, as the park is full of meadows of beautiful-smelling pines, blue thistles and alpine flowers and grasses.

Veliki Godinj, a hamlet of Rašćane village and parish, is a preserved gem and museum example of folk architecture and civil engineering of Vrgorska Krajina and the Dalmatian hinterland located on the north-west slopes of the Biokovo Nature Park. Embraced by karst, Veliki Godinj still astounds by its architecture and preserved tradition. Urban stone house construction, cobbled streets, drainage canals, residential area separated from the stables and the area for wheat harvest, all witness a rich heritage of the culture of living and the harmony of the man with the nature. Rural unit originating from the 18th century, or even earlier, encompasses the following hamlets: Veliki Godinj – Pavlinovići, Babulji – Bašići, Mali Godinj – Kovačevići. Since 2008, this rural unit has been included in the Registry of Cultural Goods of the Republic of Croatia, by which this place honours and praises its builders, still nurturing old traditions and customs.
Veliki Godinj is a characteristic compacted hamlet of the karst area. It is located on the north slopes of the Biokovo Mountain and surrounded by the following peaks: Crni Dol, Kmič, Rutva, Vučjača. These slopes descend all the way to the Rašćane Field, whose peripheral area accommodates the road to Vrgorac. The houses are built in rows; the builders respected the hillside terrain and followed the contours of the slope descending to the foot of the Biokovo Mountain, and they exclusively used local construction material; affordable and easily procurable stone characteristic of the karst area. The main façades are oriented towards the village road, whereas the backyard accommodates stables and pens located in the peripheral zones of the settlement. Public village road passes through the central part of the hamlet and continues towards Bašići, constituting thus the main communication pathway with other hamlets and villages, and, more importantly, the principal place of leisure and social gathering. The natives of Veliki Godinji predominantly cultivated vine, but also other crops: cereal, potato and tobacco; they were also involved in intense livestock farming (sheep herding and goat herding). Rural unit is incredibly rich with details; and the ingenuity of its inhabitants is clearly visible from the public and private function of space, which meets all the requirements for work and relaxation in the immediate vicinity of its own courtyard.

This superb beach can be reached from the Adriatic coastal road too ("Magistrala"), as well as by paths from Podgora and Drasnice. Don't miss to pick the wild pomegranates from the trees behind - and get your own mussels shells from the fresh water Springs in the middle of this spledid bay!

This is a proper town; there are hotels but they don't dominate. local people are doing local things. We were here nn October and I expect it could be different and very busy in high season, so choose your time to come.
