The most famous pass in the world, the Khyber Pass, which is also part of the famous “Silk Road”, is 11 miles from Peshawar. It has been, throughout history, the most important gateway to the plains of the South Asian sub-continent both for migration and invasion. Starting from the foothills of the Suleiman Range at the Jamrud; 11 miles from Peshawar, it extends beyond the border of Pakistan at Torkham, 36 miles away and it gradually rises to an elevation of 3,497 feet above sea level. The pass is 1 mile at its widest and only 53 feet at its narrowest. The last point tourists are allowed to go, is to the Michni Checkpoint where journalists and VIPs get briefed. Just beyond Michni Checkpoint at a journey time of around half an hour is the Border at Torkham, which leads into Afghanistan.

Peshawar museum hosts one of the finest collection of Buddhist sculptures and artifacts from the Gandhara civilization. Fasting Buddha statue is the highlight of the museum. Besides that there are other artifacts too from the Mughal period and before that representing the history of sub-continent. The place is a must see for tourists especially those coming from far east region (South East Asian countries) that follow the Buddhist religion.

It may not be very special place for outsiders but it had a long history. Peshawar is sort of Gateway to Afghanistan, Russia ,China etc. its more like heart of the Peshawar City.
in old times people from different area(regions and countries) would get together in this area and would share the stories. Was kind of place where trading caravan would meet.

Governors house Peshwar is occupied by the Governor of the Khyber Pukhtunkhwa Province, who is appointed by the Federal Government. It is a beautiful colonial building with lovely lawns. It was built by the British as a Governors house. It is not open to public.

Sethi Street is found Near Ghor Khatri complex and it Goes from Cunningham clock Tower towards Gor Khatri complex and can be Accessed Via taxi or Tuck Tuck , Rickshaw would be Better as Road are clogged with traffic .
After Taking a turn from GT road , towards the clock Tower and Qissa Khani Monument on cinema Road , turn left from there towards the Clock Tower and towards the Gor Khatri and there is no Parking there so no need of car or if you have a Car park at a distance in some streets .
After Reaching the end of Gor Khatri you have reached the end of Sethi Street and this is street that is where you can see the Houses that is made Peshawar World famous and it is Travel back in Time .
Better walk it and enjoy it rather then in Transport , and enjoy the Journey Back in time .

It was built in 1900 "in Commemoration of the Diamond jubilee of Her Majesty the Queen Empress". The tower was named after Sir George Cunningham, former British governor and political agent in the province.
It was designed by James Strachan, the Municipal Engineer of Peshawar, the foundation stone was laid by the George Cunningham Governor of the province.

Second way is to Take Alpine club of Pakistan help and climb the Mountains which off course is job of mountaineers trained one and was beyond my means but some people can take that route as well .
Third way is to Take road from Peshawar via mardan to Dir town , pass the Lowari Tunnel and reach Pamir chitral and See Trich Mir and also go next to Gilgit and Baltiatan to from Shandoor Pass to see the Roof Top of world via by Road and see K2 and other tallest Mountains like Nanga Parbat etc .
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa also in FATA , federally administered Tribal areas are found the Hindu Kush Mountains . They form Border of Afghanistan with Pakistan and also are so Tall that more than 150 World Tallest Mountains are found Here which are above 7 KM in Verticle Hieght .
The Maximum one is K2, which is above 8.5 KM in range and almost 9 Km in range and world 2nd Tallest .
