Cathedrale St-Jean

This is certainly a beautiful church worthy of exploring. You definitely get a feel that it was meant to be a bit bigger, but, it has a lot of amazing art in every nook and cranny. One really interesting item is an apparent crypt cemented in by a covering with four skull and crossbones figures - one on each corner. Being close to the sea, it makes you wonder...

Ceramiques Sant Vicens

Created in 1942, Sant Vicens is a unique place of ceramic creation. In the park of the farmhouse, the exhibition-sale changes with the seasons and the creators. Do not miss the guided tour, free, every Thursday at 17h, with the history of the place (through the Bauby family, Jean Lurcat, Picasso ...), the visit of the cellar converted into a historical space, and the discovery of the workshop.

This villa is the architectural version of Mucha's JOB posters: art nouveau at its best. From the grand staircase that leads to the glass-ceiling portico, to the paneled reception rooms and lush colonnade patio, you will feel like you are at the turn of the century. And, it's free to enter!

This office is housed in a beautiful facility well staffed with exceedingly helpful personnel. Assistants, seated at individual desks, work one-on-one with tourists in a friendly, patient manner. My wife and I received a full twenty minutes of help which included copies of bus schedules, maps, and detailed information about highway conditions. The professionalism here is top drawer.

Museum d'Histoire Naturelle

The taxidermied species on display were mostly local species which was fascinating for a visitor to the region. There is an odd display of legendary beasts at the moment also as well as a mummy in a dark corner. I really liked the ceramic display of biological classifications which is placed over the stairs.
