We went for dinner and had the 8 course tasting menu at 54€. It was a remarkable experience where colour, taste, presentation, quality and sheer care for food are merged into one course after another.
The number of courses may seem daunting, especially as these were not bitesize, but the appropriate gap between courses allowed for enough time to absorb and appreciate what you had just eaten and wait in anticipation for what was to follow - the menu is one of confiance, you do not know what you are getting!
The staff were knowledgeable, spoke several langauges and clearly lived what they were doing and were proud of it.
The wine list is extensive but sensibly priced - we had a Langudoc Rose for just 25€.
The total bill for three with aperitifs, wine, coffee, water and taster menu was 222€ which with the poor exchange rate was about £66 per head - compare this with the Michelin* star House of Tides in Newcastle is £70 pp + 12.5% tip, just for the food. No comparison at any level.

After Reading reviews of this little restaurant right by our overnight hotel, we decided to book a table and go.
We were not disappointed in any way. The service is correct and unobtrusive and everyone is dealt with in the correct order. There's a quiet air of efficiency and calm.
We spent 3.5 hours there being looked after with delicious plate after plate. I didn't think I'd manage 9 plates, but with the time spacing between servings, thankfully it's manageable.
There's only one meat plate, all the starters are fish/seafood based, and being a 'meat' person, I wondered what I'd think. Amusingly I'd say all the fish dishes were my favourites rather than the meat dish! The main fish dish was delicious.
The final three dessert plates are light and fresh to finish with.
That was truly a delightful evening of food.

We've visited this restaurant after Reading reviews in Tripadvisor. It was a great french style dining experience and all of the food we've sampled was delicious. Especially the Deserts were excellent. I would definitely recommend this place for either lunch or dinner and would go back if I'm in Perpignan again.
It's good for couples or friends. There aren't many tables, so make sure to book in advance.

Le Clos des Lys, despite the main road close by, offers a peaceful atmosphere to enjoy a good and relaxing time. The restaurant benefits from a large and nicely decorated Terrace, a good place to eat during a summer evening.
The food is tasteful, dishes are relatively simple for a gastro restaurant, where quite often exotic ingredients are added to more common ones to create a dish that might deserve the most poetic names. Here, the dishes remain simple, plates are well organised, food is of high quality and very well cooked, there is no fuss but no disappointment either.
I tried the "Sur les chemins de la gourmandise" menu which contains a starter, two main dishes and two desserts (actually the "Buffet de desserts" is a 'eat-as-much-as-you-can' one). All the courses on the menu were good but the iberian pig was definitely the best part of it. The desserts were also very nice, one of the region specialities I would suggest people to try is the "bras de gitan" (genoise, pastry cream, rum...).
Overall, the dinner there was a very enjoyable experience, even the chef took time to come over to welcome us in the begining and to ask if everything went well later on; small details matter. The service was also good, with a friendly staff.
I would make only two remarks:
- the wine list offers only a limited choice of wines, mainly from the region
- the waiters do not announce the dish compositions when they bring them
A good place to have a good time in a cosy and casual atmosphere

The folks running this restaurant are really enthusiastic about food, not just going through the motions. They seemed to care that we were intrigued by their unusual taste combinations, and they were attentive and charming. Excellent local season ingredients prepared with imagination. Perhaps too exciting for some who prefer traditional French cooking, but we welcomed trying new ideas. An informal and friendly atmosphere, despite the high quality of the cooking.

Just stumbled on this restaurant and what a find.We were there last night (28 May 2014) We were greeted by a friendly waiter who brought us up to the cocktail bar for our pre dinner drink, this room is really lovely with a roof top veranda with wonderful views. Our meal was the set menus as a complimentary starter they brought us a bowl of clams in a pesto and garlic fab, for starters crab or duck, mains chicken or fish and desserts to die for. All the food was so fantastic really tasty and so wonderfully presented. Our bill for three adults with cocktails, wine and tip was only 120 euro, can't wait to go back.

The city is not overly famous for its cuisine.
When we stumbled upon this restaurant it was nearly a life changing experience ! we love Brazilian food and been to Brazil several times, the food in Barraco was simply amazing, the meat was the best meat we had in France and the gravlax with 'secret mango sauce' was incredible. For desert we had a Banana Tart which was out of this world.
We did something we do not normally do and ate there twice in one day and 2 nights in a row, other restaurants we tried in the city simply did not come near in terms of quality. You owe it to yourself to go there.
