This is a fairly small park. you can do a circuit of it in about 25mins. It has some really nice views and a castle, though you can't actually get into the castle which is a real shame. It's nice place to spend some time getting a spot of exercise.

Wild Atlantic Way

Appropriately named , the west coast is spectacular, so much scenery and feels very remote in places. Roads are very well signposted and easy to follow. The roads are also very twisty, single track in places. If you suffer from motion sickness maybe the whole route would be too much. Take time to look at the various harbours as you go along.

Galway Bay Golf Resort

We recently hosted our Annual Staff BBQ at the Galway Bay Golf Resort with over 250 people and I would highly recommend it. Dave and the rest of the staff were so accommodating and friendly and our staff were very impressed with the food and service. The setting combined with the fabulous weather we had made the place ideal for our Summer BBQ. The event has gone down as one of our best and we've had nothing but positive feedback since. Thanks to Dave, Ava and the rest of the staff :)

Circle of Life Commemorative Garden

A remarkably beautiful stone sculpted national commemorative garden to commemorate and celebrate the lives and generosity of spirit of organ donors. Its inclusive and welcoming design and aura of mysticism and healing provide a very special place to remember and reflect on loved ones. Its richness of imagery, symbolism and sentiment offers an inspirational and memorable visitation experience for all ages. Convenient to parking and hospitality facilities, served by public transport.

Galway Cathedral

Reviewed By grommit35 - Oxfordshire

Built in 20c this Cathedral looks quite stark from the outside due to its granite exterior , also it’s located in essential a traffic island! Inside there are some lovely stained glass windows and it’s interesting to see a medieval design built in a modern way. Worth a look although it will only take 15 mins or so unless you want to attend a service.

Salthill Promenade

Reviewed By william l - Roscommon

Salthill Promenade is a wonderful facility on the doorstep of Galway City and should be a must see for anyone visiting that ancient city. Stretching several kilometers along the sea front this beautiful wide walkway is ideal for a gentle stroll or maybe a jog or a run for the more energetic. For obvious reasons it is sometimes very crowded particularly at the western end but the other end is usually quieter. It is not very hilly so is ideal for older people or those less agile. Parking facilities in the vicinity are plentiful, but one cannot say the same when it comes to toilets as there to be a lack of such amenities. However it is an ideal was to get some exercise and smell the salt air, whether a bracing winter walk or a stroll in summer Sunshine.
