Wonderful beach with perfect sand and nice surroundings. There are free places, that you can use your own beach equipment, but there are also two beach bars to drink or eat something, one of them with an entrance fee with minimum consumption. I totally suggest a visit.

This is an amazing beach bar to spend a day at the beach or even go for lunch and enjoy the view with some nice tunes! The service is excellent.Food is amazing and the hostess is super helpful. The crystal clear waters and the clean and comfortable sun beds make this place a very popular one so a reservation is required before going.Great for kids too. Definitely going back and recommending it to all my friends.

Nikiti Beach

Two weeks here and the kids hardly wanted to go anywhere else. The Beaches towards St George's are less crowded and apart from a meter or so of pebbles at the water's edge they are sandy. The beach is not wise though. Parking free on the road and the beach. The water remains shallow for a long way so it is great for kids or just for messing around. Easy walking distance to nice bars and restaurants. Fantastic sunsets too.

Really great diving experience! At 9 am we were preparing our gear and headed to Calogria beach. Really beautiful place to dive at, a lot of fish 20+m visibility, warm water, they provided with all of the gear (wet suite, bcd, regulators, mask, fins...). Illko the instructor was great, friendly and a nice guy to dive with. They are located on the main road on the left hand side if you are going to Neos Marmaras and are easy to find. I would highly recommend this diving club.

Caffè is very nice and authentic. It has warm and friendly vibes. Juces taste very homemade :) It is also a bit expensive but when you're getting down from the museum on a hot day you can't say no to such a charming place.

Sofronios Basilica

This is only signposted if you are travelling from Nikiti towards Neos Marmaras not if you are coming from Neos Marmaras so if you approaching from that direction you need to turn first left after passing Lidl's, taking the road that bends left ie almost parallel to the main road, not the one that goes straight ahead. Follow this road until there is a signposted right turn and the basilica is a few metres down that road. Covered by a cantilever roof its hard to miss at that point. Excavations are underway and the site is fenced off but you can still see the magnificent mosaic floor and the columns and tile work. Doesn't take long to take in the site but given it's at most a 10 minute diversion off the main road it would be a pity if passing not to stop and see it.

Weather was a bit changeable and we were not keen for a swim at first and there were lots of jellyfish about. Went to Neo Marmaras for some shopping then to Turtle Island for a swim and BBQ. Food was excellent, rose wine, lager and soft drinks were also provided. Not sure how they can cook such good chips in a galley. On the way back we spotted DOLPHINS, 3 in all. They swam with the boat and everyone got photos and videos including the crew. An excellent day and we felt blessed to have seen wild dolphins. Highly recommend.
