Nain Island

Reviewed By Sety P - Indonesia

I will tell about my trip In Nain Island with Pajak D. Three month ago,we visited Atol Island which was look alike Maladewa. Nain Island, was located in Wori, North Minahasa, North Sulawesi. This island was still not popular for foreign tourism, so the place was still very clear and beautiful. This unique island was called by local vilager as “Bungin Pasir Timbul”. Bungin Pasir Timbul was a phenomenom when the sea water maximally tides, so the sand was shown over the water surface. So, we were exactly on the middle of the sea , so wonderfull
We could get there enjoying and saving those moments by the right time, when full moon or dead moon, around 12.00 PM until 02.00 PM local time. We could get there by the fisherman’s ship which could carry up to 30 people in it and go from Manado Port or if you are from Siladen Island, if we went to Bungin Pasir we must used small ship which could carry up to 8 people. We could get there by using Tour Traveling 3 destinations, the cost was 200.000 IDR and needed 1 hour to get to the destination. There were suprised by the beautiful view.
Because Bungin Pasir Timbul was located in middle of the sea , we have difficulties to found Public toilet , drink & food saller and shower. We couldn't change our wet clothes in there . We should bring some food and drink by ourselves. There was a tent in here , it was used by the visitor to take shelter, eaten food and drink.
Once we got there, we will not only enjoy the view of Bungin Pasir Timbul, but we will see the unique house of local villager, Masyarakat Bajo. They built their house from boardwood over the sea and for the way to get in the house, they only add a small ship from house to house, because all of the activities happened over the sea, just like Pulau Apung in Kalimantan.

Tunan Waterfall

Reviewed By GeorgeI18N - Seattle, Washington

After a rugged ride over semi-paved roads, the environment becomes more and more like a jungle. There is a parking area and a person collecting a few thousand INR for entrance. Then a well-made stone and concrete path leads to the waterfall. This was my first excursion outside the city, and it was nice to see and hear the jungle. Along the path we saw a variety of beautiful butterflies, flowers, and lush vegitation. The waterfall itself is impressive, but I find that the walk leading up to it is what I remenber.
The waterfall is fairly close to the airport, so it is a great way to spend your last hours before departing.

Travel by car from Manado city to Likupang about 1 hour 15 minutes. Then cross the island by motor boat about 20-40 minutes. From its coastal navy blue looks real. White sand Beaches , clear waters and breezes add the beauty of this tourist island. Lihaga Island is a small uninhabited island, which is famous for its beautiful Beaches. This is a remote island trip, there is no hotel, no resort, no car, no motor cycle only pure tranquility and the beautiful nature. Sun bathing is also very nice here, the breeze is so good in the day. For snorkeling, this island is surrounded by coral reefs.

Mahembang Beach

Reviewed By Raihan R - Manado, Indonesia

Mahembang beach is one of the attractions located in the central part of Indonesia, precisely located in North Minahasa, Manado. However, because the location is quite far from urban areas so the beach is rare in coming even known by tourists visiting North Sulawesi. Most tourists who visit to Manado knowing only three Beaches is quite famous such as Bunaken, Nain and Siladen. But the beach mahembang no less good than a third of the beach, the beach is still quite clean and suitable for camping with friends.
Based on my experience camping there, I served many sights are quite interesting and made me and my friends are very satisfied camping there. White sand Beaches and the sea water is very clear very reassuring my eyes, where I can play ball and ran as if the beach was ours. I suggest you to camp there for the morning empty beach atmosphere that will make you more flexibility to take pictures from any angle. Because when it was already noon, local residents began to arrive in droves and to take pictures so difficult.
The journey there can be reached by motorcycle or car and the path through which the rider was not difficult enough, when in the course of any you will be presented track enough to make you a little dizzy. The path you are going through meliak-bend as you round the hills in the area there. When you've passed the half way any time you can see Mount Soputan is located on the left you. And I suggest you to bring enough supplies due to go to the location it takes quite a lot of time, approximately 2-3 hours drive. However, I promise when you arrive at the location of all your efforts will pay off during the trip.
There is not only the beach, but behind the beach you can see the lake is quite extensive and can be utilized for fishing. Lakeside you can spread the mat and joking laugh with friends while eating snacks that you bring.
Perhaps this only can I tell, I wait for your story during a trip to the beach Mahembang.

Pal Beach
