We walked the 7km from Lunel to the site along a pretty trail, but it can be reached by car.
Whilst the bridge has succumbed to the forces of the river and has only one arch left the city wall and some building remnants give the visitor an idea of what was a fairly large town.
The best part is the cobbled road winding through the town which is exciting to walk on for two reasons; it is part of a road that led from Rome, across France and down to the South of Spain built in the century B.C, and it remains with the grooves of countless wheeled carts and vehicles of the time.
We didn't bother with the museum as the whole site is one big open air display.

This was a highlight of our visit to the Camargue, or more correctly, the Little (Petite) Camargue country. Ancient Aigues-Mortes has walls enclosing the town, complete with ramparts and towers in very good condition, considering their age. We climbed the walls and the tower for excellent views of the town below us and the countryside beyond the town. Great photo opportunities.
