Liverpool Adventure Outfitters

Liverpool Adventure Outfitters Ltd. opened in April 2003 as a small shop focused mainly on canoeing and kayaking, with a small selection of camping accessories. We had so much space that we had some tents set up inside our shop. Over the years, we have expanded to include bicycles, camping gear, clothing, accessories, and a full service bicycle repair shop. We are now bursting at the seams, and while we still have tents available for purchase, we would be hard-pressed to find a space in our shop to set any of them up! In addition to our store, we also offer kayaking, canoeing, biking, standup paddleboarding, and multi-sport adventures on the South Shore of Nova Scotia and other locations such as Belize and Costa Rica. We continue to add to our tour offering each year, and love helping people enjoy the beautiful outdoors! Our staff are certified standup paddleboard instructors, kayaking instructors, and canoe instructors.

Hank Snow Home Town Museum

Reviewed By Singent - Halifax, Canada

We visited the Hank Snow Home Town Museum yesterday. It was very easy to find as it is located in the old railway station. What a great venue for this museum, considering the connection Hank Snow had to it. This museum is well maintained and is a lovely tribute to Hank Snow and there is even a display for other country artists from Nova Scotia. There are some of Hank’s costumes and many of displays of his personal items. There are even two of his cars here. The gift shop has books, CD’s, T-shirts and many other items to choose from. The prices are very reasonable and tax free. Hank Snow had a very difficult early life and it’s truly heart warming to see how he overcame many obstacles to be a star on stage and in life. This is a museum you truly must visit.
