We went out with Captain Morgan for the half-day afternoon excursion and had a wonderful time. There were 8 of us total and there was plenty of room. As others have noted, the comfy bean bags are a nice touch. What I loved most is that unlike the busy, crowded charter boats, you have the entire boat and crew to yourself for 4-5 hours and can customize your trip. We decided to check out the La Famille Express shipwreck and snorkeled the barrier reef which was phenomenal. We've snorkeled in lots of places in the Caribbean and this was among the very best. We also went to Iguana Island which was surprisingly good. We ran into lots of iguanas in their natural habit. Not a place to stay for a long time but it's a nice 30-45 minute break.
All in all -- this is well worth it. It's not cheap. Our half-day trip for the 8 of us was $1200 plus tip. But, a highlight of our visit for sure.
BTW -- they even have a portable toilet which my wife especially appreciated.

Talbot's Adventures

Talbot’s Adventures was created by the inspiration of the Talbot Family. Our families’ core values are centered on a life spent on and in the ocean. From generations born in Salt Cay, we have taken on the slogan of "professional natives." The tradition of exploring backwaters and fishing for conch, lobster and snapper is a lifestyle for us. We are now glad to have the opportunity to share this lifestyle with you! Alexander Norman Talbot, a Bermudan descendent, was a great fisherman, free diver, sail boat captain and boat builder. As a highly respected man of the sea, he contributed his service to TCI during the salt trade industry days in Salt Cay. Norman started the Talbot lineage here, and with nothing but his inherited legacy, the younger generation tailored and introduced the trade to the tourist industry through out the Turks and Caicos Islands. As Norman’s grandchild, I (Capt. Levardo) was also born and raised in the little island of Salt Cay. I took to the sea from the age of 5 with my father Oscar Talbot Senior. Oscar is one of the best divers and fishermen in TCI and still free dives for conch and lobster well into his 70s. My passion for marine life, conservation of the environment, and sustaining culture and heritage in the Turks and Caicos Islands were the building blocks for Talbots Adventures. My motto is "catch some and save for future generations." My experiences includes 10 years as a Fish and Parks Marine Conservation Officer for the Department of Environment and Coastal Resources as well as working for various boat charter companies (including Sail Provo, Silver Deep and a few other smaller companies). The dream of owning my own boat charter company came true in the summer of 2009. Talbot’s Adventures has since turned into one of Provo’s premier private boat charter/ fishing companies. Let us show you around the waters of the Turks and Caicos!

While vacationing with a group of friends, we happened upon this amazing boat tour with Talbot's Adventures. The captain was very accommodating, punctual, friendly, and knowledgable about the area. This boat tour was the most enjoyable highlight of my vacation in Turks and Caicos. I highly recommend this tour company.

Grace Bay

A perennial Travelers' Choice Beaches winner, Grace Bay is famous for its long stretch of soft white sand and beautiful blue water.

One of the most beautiful Beaches we have ever seen. This beach has shades of blue and green which are just a feast for the eyes. The water is generally gentle making swimming easy. The easy slope makes wading into the ocean a delight. Just watching the waves lap upon the beach is just so serene. Watching the sunrise and the sunset was an experience beyond description.

Exciting excursion from our cruise ship docked at Grand Turk. We headed towards Gibbs Cay to snorkel/dive in 20' clear water from Queen Conch - our lunch! Could only harvest adults with big, flaring lip. Easy to spot on seafloor; not so easy to dive down (I'm 64) but managed to get four. Captain prepped conch salad / ceviche (conch, peppers, onion, lime, garlic) while we snorkeled in shallow, clear water over the reef on the Leeward side of Gibbs Cay: parrotfish galore, a school of 12" squid (trip highlight for me), and lovely soft corals. After snorkeling, we beached on Gibbs Cay to stand in shallow water to feed the stingrays (30" diam) that have become acclimated to humans. Lots of photo opps here. Back on the boat for lunch with rum punch on the easy trip back to port. Knowledgeable, engaging, professional captain and crew. Would do this again and again.

Princess Alexandra National Park

Thirteen miles of undeveloped, protected beach, part of an effort to preserve the natural beauty of the Islands.

A gorgeous beach. It was after Hurricane Irma so there was water and downed trees and a displaced boat. Despite this, you could still see the beauty of the park.
