Dieses faszinierende Erlebnis bietet das LVR-Industriemuseum Euskirchen seinen Besucherinnen und Besuchern in der ehemaligen Tuchfabrik Müller. Denn hier fühlt man sich um viele Jahrzehnte zurückversetzt. Als sich 1961 die Geschäfte der seit 1894 bestehenden Fabrik verschlechterten, verriegelte der Fabrikant einfach die Tore und ließ die Produktionsstätte stehen – so, wie sie war. Fast dreißig Jahre schlummerte sie im Dornröschenschlaf, dann wurde sie wieder aufgeschlossen und ist heute ein ungewöhnliches Museum. Die historische Tuchfabrik ist nur mit Führung zugänglich.

We have visited many thermal spas around Germany in the last 20 years, and this ranks in the top 3. Absolutely amazing place! We went out of season and during the working week, so I don't know what it would be like when it is really busy, but we found it an oasis of relaxation, with so much to offer. There are two parts - (1) Palmen Paradise - you keep your costumes on at all times (2) Saunaland - you walk around in robes but are expected to de-robe in the saunas for hygiene reasons. If you are not prepared to do this, don't pay the extra money, as there is no discretion. The tariffs are for (1) area or (1) and (2) combined. We found it cheaper to buy a 1.5 hour ticket and pay for any extra overrun on top, than pay for a whole day ticket, but it depends on whether you do intend to spend close to 5 hours + there or not, to make it worth your while. We stayed mostly in the Sauna area as this was quieter, and offered more choice of places to sit, and was near the restaurant and outside pool. They gave spent a fortune on this place and it is palatial. Have just returned for the second year, and it just gets better and better! Highly recommend getting there for when it opens at 9am, as it is so quiet.
