The 10 Best Things to do in East London, Canada

January 27, 2022 Giuseppe Pratt

You’ll see double-decker buses and even the River Thames, but while London, Ontario, has clearly been inspired by its British namesake, this is a distinctly Canadian destination. Attractions like Fanshawe Pioneer Village, Banting House and Eldon House will captivate history buffs. Or indulge your, shall we say, slightly less cerebral side with a tour of the Labatt Brewery.

I came here for the first time at the beginning of Jan and I’m now a member with all my own gear. This place was addicting from the start. Staff is friendly, the refreshing of routes (especially bouldering) is frequent which adds so much to the experience. They do events often (route comps, partner climbs, glow nights, women’s nights, blood drives, etc.) so there is always something cool to look forward to! I love that they are open late because it works best for my busy schedule to come at night (Id love if they were open later on weekends though!). Prices aren’t bad especially for students ($17.50+gear)! And the membership can easily be paused which is great. This place does get pretty packed sometimes but there’s always somewhere to squeeze in. Would be great if Junction opened a second location! Definitely recommend trying climbing out whether you’re a local or a visitor!
