At this time there is no admission or tours for American tourists. Come back next year. I live nearby and many attractions have been closed to foreign visitors because of COVID.

Walked past this on my way back from the cable car to my cruise ship in Koblenz on Monday. This is an amazing spot to stop and see where the Moselle flows into the Rhine and it also has an impressive statue of Kaiser Wilhelm II. You can walk up to various levels inside the monument and would probably have the most impressive views of German Corner or Deutsches Ecke without doing the cable car ride. The emblems of all the regions of Germany are also impressive to look at. This area of Koblenz is free to look at.

This was a Viking cruise tour we took. The guide was costumed who takes on the persona of John Humfrey, a Lieutenant colonel in the British Corps of Royal Engineers, who guided us through the excellent examples of Prussian military fortifications. The fortress is on the opposite side of the Rhine from Koblenz where the ship is docked. We took a bus ride through the town of Koblenz up to the Fortress, where we were met by our guide. His dress was most impressive & his personality shone through, as he guided us through the immense fortress, often engaging us as fellow "actors". He told us everything necessary about the fortress & we highly recommend taking his tour. It's amazing to see the fortress from below & then, upon arriving, you see green grass, as the fortress is built beneath the earth we are standing on. After the tour, we took the gondola ride across the Rhine, where we boarded our bus for the ride back to the ship, the Viking Hlin, which we also highly recommend! Both the gondola and the fortress offer great views of the surrounding area, to include the river, France across the river & the massive statue of Kaiser Wilhelm in the Deutsches Eck. Most wonderful guided tour we took part of.

In 1992, the sculptor, Jurgen Weber, created this history column to celebrate Koblenz's 2000 year anniversary. The bronze sculpture is cleverly executed with 3-D figures in 10 scenes representing an important event in Koblenz since Roman time. Most impressive is its first scene in which a Roman galley boat filled with wine barrels is rowed by slaves. The boat almost floats in the super large basin. The boat is the fountain as there is water pouring out of the mouths of Father Rhine and Mother Moselle attached to the side of the boat, from the barrel spouts, and even from the boat itself. All provide the sound of gushing water. That part is the prettiest, too, as the dominant figures, the boat, the oars, and the barrels have turned turquoise. The other 9 historical scenes which are atop the boat are much smaller, darker, and are circular. The top scenes show the destruction of Koblenz from the 1944 bombing raids and the rebirth of the city from those flames. Detour from a visit to the city hall and its Schangel Fountain to see this incredible work of art in Josef Gorres Platz. This fountain and historical column can be photographed from all sides.

This fountain is a must see and we would have missed it if we weren't looking for the Deutsche Bank. Lots of different animals to see, great imagination of the artist. We would recommend.

The ride across was fantastic. Be ready to take pics because it is a short trip. Head left to a nice observation area looking down the Rhine. Next there is an exercise park and then a putt putt golf course and great kids climbing park with bridges and slides. Continue around the loop to the fortress entrance. Very interesting although most of the museum is german-only signage. Views from the wall facing town are awesome and there is a bier garden and snack bar there. Great 3 hour excursion!

Unusual, distinctive and fun. Be careful where you stand or you may get wet when the little boy sprays water. You can ask directions and should be able to find this. We were fortunate to see it as part of a group guided tour. Kids will enjoy this.

Great old square bordered by the Jesuit monastery which in its lifetime so far had been transformed into a private school, town hall and - in December - the Advent calender of the city. There are a set of bells which play a song every hour of the day, a monument to an important medical guy and lots of nice cafes to sit down and people watch.

Its absolutly magnific, this monument is so full of litle details full of history its a really wonderfull thing to see and visit. Would love to had a guided visit here so i could heard with more detail the history for this monument.
