1066 Target Sports is the UK's largest indoor family friendly target sports venue. Housed in The Alternative Adventures Centre just off the A21. We offer a range of activities, from our famous Experience Packages, with a choice of 6 activities ranging from Live Fire, Archery, Crossbow, Axe Throwing to Catapult and Air Rifle! Our experienced instructors will get you time throwing axes, shooting arrows, slinging catapults and firing rifles in no time! Participants can choose to take part in any number of the 6 Activities we have available. With each activity lasting approximately 30 minutes, your Target Sports experience can last between 30 minutes to 3 hours. Making it an amazing day out or night out for the whole family. Went there today (30th December 2019) with my 2 boys aged 12 and 10 and 2 of my nieces aged 14 and 25... we all had a Fantastic day, all the staff were excellent friendly and helpful it's great for all ages as I'm 40 myself and still gave the kids competition ???? would definitely go again

The Source Park is the largest underground BMX and Skateboard Park in the World. Home to 2 massive parks in a unique former Victorian Turkish Baths under Hastings promenade, it won Historic England's 2017 award for the 'Best Rescue of a historic building'. The skatepark attracts some of the best riders in the World as well as beginners of all ages and ability. Entry is free for spectators and can be ridden by BMXers, Skateboarders and Scooter riders - pricing is from £5 off-peak for riders but check the website for session prices as they do vary. Member receive £2 discount per session and membership is just £40 a year . It also houses a huge BMX/Skate shop and Hastings most unique cafe which offers the best spectating in the house! Introductory sessions and lessons are available but must be booked in advance.

If you have a scoot/skate/bike mad kiddo - or you are one yourself visit Source My son loves this place The staff are on hand, helpful, patient - it feels like a 'safe' place to take your child Value for money Take a coat with you if you are watching (in the colder months) - can be a bit chilly upstairs Parking in Hastings... as with busy places - nightmare

Besides doing a wonderful job of saving lives at sea, it is a must see for tourists who do not live by the sea. Most of our students live inland, and for many it is the first time they have seen the sea or even a lifeboat. What us seasiders take for granted is a complete fascination to landlubbers. Situation amongst the Fishing Huts , absolutely fascinating museum with so much local history, wonderful photos of local fishermen’s families and times gone by. Good shop with some great souvenirs.

Staff are really friendly. Free entry , park behind in large car park and walk through, great things to see, a ship called the Amsterdam is in Holland ( a complete replicate) this is the same ship they are getting treasure and a lots of interesting stuff, watch the video, thank you guys great place

This is one of my most favourite places in my town. I've been coming here for years for stunning cliff top views and costal walks. On clear days, you can see Dungeness. Beautiful in winter and summer throughout.

Hastings Museum & Art Gallery is a family-friendly museum with amazingly diverse collections. Established over 125 years ago, the Museum offers local people and visitors the opportunity to explore art, culture and history from around the world. Before Hastings tells the story of this area from prehistory to the Saxons and The Story of Hastings in 66 Objects continues the story from 1066 to today. Wildlife is displayed in dioramas of different local habitats and you can discover our prehistoric past in our interactive Dinosaur gallery. Our fine Native North American collection is displayed in three galleries, featuring the Plains and Sub-Arctic areas and the life of Hastings-born Grey Owl. The most spectacular part of the Museum is the Durbar Hall, which contains our World Art displays, as well as being used for a range of events, including weddings. We ( myself, my sister and nieces (3 and 5) visited on a rainy half term day. It was our first ever visit and we were thoroughly impressed. The museum is beautifully laid out with areas including toys and costumes for the children to play with and explore. It’s also free to enter. One niece loved dressing up like a dinosaur. As it was half term for a very reasonable £2 we were able to join a drumming workshop. Then there was a free Where’s Wally trail which kept even a 3 year old looking and engaged all the way round hunting for Wally in the exhibits. Furthermore there were different craft stations where the girls could make lanterns and fireworks. It was perfect for a rainy day and kept the girls busy and engaged for several hours.

This olde world high street is lovely to stroll through with its interesting architecture and plentiful independent shops with many eateries. It has a charming atmosphere.

This is my local park and I think it is the best thing about Hastings! It is huge and varied from wild areas, ornamental flower beds, ponds -one with fishing, wild life including very cheeky squirrels, bowling greens, tennis courts and multisports hard surface area, a super cafe with outdoor seating, toilets, rare trees including champion trees, bandstand, a stream runs through it's great length and there is even a kiddies miniature railway with limited opening times sadly. Just try it when you visit Hastings, you won't be disappointed.It is a day out on it's own but I suggest not trying to see it all on one visit!
