The House of Coffee

We've been coming here for years and sadly didn't think to write a Trip Advisor review sooner. We're so lucky to have this brilliant, old fashioned shop in our market town. Tucked away in the cobbled alley, the owner and staff are so knowledgeable about their coffee - beans or ground, roasted on the premises. Waste free - reuse the brown paper bags for small discount - the selection is fantastic. They also have a huge range of loose leaf teas. A few years ago I bought a monthly coffee subscription for my husband, which he loved. Great to support an independent foodie gem.

Never had a bad beer in here and that's a high compliment to any pub. They take great care of the beer on offer. Always welcome and accommodating to anyone particularly the local community and a t clubs. The only beer I've ever not liked in here is because of not liking the beer not the quality of the beer! Pork pies are on point. This is a proper pub and proper pub experience!
