Ide Sake Brewery

This was an interesting and fun place to visit for an hour or so. We booked in advance online. The tour was done in English and she showed us around the brewery as much as was possible. There were some interesting videos to watch too. We got the chance to see the old house and gardens that belong to the brewery family - they're very beautiful. The tour ended in the shop, where we sat around a table and understood more about the different types of sake they make there - and then got to try a few. The sake was very delicious and we were going to buy some but unfortunately didn't have space in the suitcase. Next time!

I came up here with a friend and my husband. The experience was so cool. They taught us the history of sushi making and how to do everything properly. I was messing things up the whole time but loved every second of it. The lady took my phone for pictures so you don't have to worry about that. And eating it was awesome. You have a whole new appreciation for sushi after this.

For anyone with an interest in textiles this is a must see. Take the time to watch the short film first to understand what you are looking at as the techniques used are incredibly complex. I had never seen anything like it. Every piece is a work of art. It is quite a story of a person following their passion and perfecting it. The gardens and shop are lovely as well.

Kawaguchiko Music Forest is a one of a kind musical them park, designed with a “European Alps” atmosphere standing beneath a superb view of Mt. Fuji. It holds a world-class collection of automatic musical instruments, including the world's largest "dance organ and doll orchestra" and the Philharmonic Performance Orchestrion designed for the Titanic. Stroll through the seasonally themed, art, and rose gardens, or take in the scenery from the comfort of the restaurant-cafe and shops. Particularly interesting are the automatic instrument demonstrations, and one of a kind live performance of musicians and opera singers. Also, experience the sand art storytelling artists backed by live musicians. This park is for all ages, enjoyable in all seasons, rain or shine.

Interesting place , many automatic organ from 1890-1905 , still working fine. Staff is very kind and willing to explain. They have some scheduled events to show “concerts” of some very ancient and big “music box”. Interesting for kids above 8-10 years and for adults.

Yamanashi had many crystal mines in the past. Even today, much jewelry is produced here using polishing and processing techniques handed down over the generations. Our museum opened in 1975 to showcase Yamanashi's jewelry industry and to teach a wide audience all about gems.

Fujisan World Heritage Center(Mt.Fuji World Heritage Center)

Yamanashi prefecture newly established the South Hall as “Yamanashi Prefectural Fujisan World Heritage Center, which opened in June 2016. The center takes the lead in providing information on Fujisan’s outstanding universal value to many people visiting the World Heritage site Fujisan, and in preserving and managing the Site.

This museum is very good for getting the history of the area. They also provide guided tours in English. I advise visiting this place before visiting anything else because it gives context to other tourist attractions that may not have as much information in English. They have many interactive displays, including a video about mount Fuji in art throughout the ages.
