The Farrier Freehouse

Reviewed By Lynsaredhotbabe - Folkestone, United Kingdom

I think most blokes would want the best pint in town, whereas most girls would want the cleanest/nicest loos. The Farrier has both. As well as that it is the most friendly pub I have ever been in (and I've been in quite a few). Donna and Dale are lovely people, as are all of the staff, and their "regulars" are great, too. They will all speak and chat with you even if you have never been in there before. I often spend several hours here, there is a lovely garden, so you can take the kids, too.

We love popping in to Le Pinardier for glass or bottle of wine or bubbles. Also love the snacks that they serve, the saucisson is amazing. Marina is absolutely charming as is keen on sharing her wine knowledge and is a consummate host. Can’t wait for lockdown to be over to we can visit again. Definitely worth the visit.

Kent Museum of the Moving Image (Kent MOMI)

Kent MOMI is a not-for-profit museum that explores the deep history of the moving image — from the days of candle-lit magic lantern performances and hand-painted slides, through Victorian visual experimentation, to the advent and the heyday of the cinema. The museum is situated in the heart of the picturesque Kent seaside town of Deal, two minutes' walk from Deal Railway Station and Deal Pier and Seafront. We believe in community and access. All our exhibitions are changing "special" exhibitions — so there will always be something new to see.

Really enjoyed our visit. Friendly and informative welcome. It was like visiting a nice home dedicated to the Moving Image. Like a Tardis, many rooms of great interest and a focus on the history of the moving image and Ealing Studios. Really worth visit (or two).

The food was amazing with lots of choice and the bottomless brunch and drinks menu was also a very good range of different drinks and food to cater for all. The venue is very clean tidy and welcoming. All staff wore masks at all times and customers wore masks when needed and not sat at tables and kept to all covid 19 guildlines. hand sanitizer is provided as you walk in and by the toilets. I would definatly recommend eating/drinking here. I will definatly be returning. Thank you to all who made our visit so lovely x

The Just Reproach

We are Deal's Micropub. Started in December 2011 we are now firmly part of the Deal community. We specialise in real ales from microbreweries across the UK and have a constantly changing menu. Beers are kept in a temperature controlled room, served directly from the cask and brought to you. We also sell: real ciders; a selection of wines and soft drinks; a limited range of snacks including Kentish cheese; Kent crisps and pork pies from a local, award winning butcher. We do not sell lager or spirits nor do we have piped music or television. Mobile phones can be used to access the internet but a ringing phone results in a fine (money going to the Pilgrims Hospice). We offer a friendly and unique venue in Deal and hope to see you soon.

We arrived before opening time & sat outside. As the bar opened other people went in before us however the lady that served us knew we had been waiting so came to serve us 1st. She was very friendly & knowledgeable. The beers were excellent. The tables were socially distanced & there was hand sanitizer on the tables. There was seating outside too. It was so good we went in twice. Definitely worth a visit. They are only open certain days which is understandable
