Chorley Theatre

Chorley Theatre is a volunteer-run independent venue staging plays, musicals, pantos, touring comedy, music and films.Built in 1910, it has been owned and operated by amdram group CADOS since 1960 and produces at least 6 full shows per year, plus 2 by Chorley Youth Theatre. It's an ideal venue for comedy shows by top stand-up comedians, and the regular film showings are digitally projected on to the big screen, with Surround Sound. There's a great-priced bar and the building has full disabled access. Any profits go back into the upkeep of the building, and all income comes from ticket and bar sales.

Always a good show - apart from Pantomines which I always choose to miss - my choice not Chorley Little Theatre's fault. I believe they are much appreciated by those who enjoy this genre. Easy to book through Malcolm's Musicland. Parking close by and excellent. Drinks and snacks very good value - don't bring your own support the theatre.

Even from the outside, the shop just draws you in, a lovely light and airy shop with a warm welcome meets you as you enter. A great selection of not only stunningly delicious chocolates also some of our very favourite sweets all ready bagged to add to your basket. I've ordered chocolates a few times now and they've always been beautifully presented and wrapped for me and tasted delicious Chocobella also can help you with Gifts I've been a few times when needing gifts for children and now with no real toy shops in town, this shop is a must for value toys made to last, wooden toys rather than the plastic you can get for a few pence. There's also a lovely selection of gifts for adults for occasions such as birthdays, Christmas and weddings, again not the same things we see in all high street stores. A real delight to shop there

Heskin Hall Shopping Village

A unique retail and leisure destination that will hopefully appeal to all the family. Featuring over 40 unique shops & businesses which includes a leading art gallery, high class butchers, craft studios, food shops, ladies & gents clothing, gifts with a difference, handbags & Jewellery, childrens clothing & toys, hair & beauty, furniture, fredericks ice cream, Ladies & gents clothing, Crafty Potter Craft Cafe, Licensed Two Birds Tea Room, a Bridal Shop and even a Hat Hire and much more. Please note there is disabled parking, disabled ramps to two of the three entrances, wide walkways, disabled toilets, and wide entrances to all ground floor shops. We unfortunately have not been permitted to install any lifts to the first floor by the Fire Services due to the fact the buildings are part wooden structures and this would raise health & safety issues re any evacuation.

Had a lovely time wandering around here today the day before lockdown 2 in England. Plenty of parking and we had a delicious lunch in the tea room followed by a meander around the independent shops within. Lots of little shops selling clothes, jewellery, toys, furniture, art and even a small food hall and butcher. Definitely worth a visit particularly if looking for a gift either to yourself or someone else.

Battlefield LIVE Pennine

Battlefield LIVE Pennine is team based outdoor "laser-tag" using military grade infra-red gaming guns in a 8 acre purpose built outdoor arena. Unlike paintball, you can battle without the bruises! Played much like live video games such as Fortnite or Call Of Duty, you will be sent on exciting and often complex missions that involve skill, accuracy and quick thinking. You will use sophisticated (and seriously cool!)metal gaming guns and as the ammunition is electronic there's no hidden extras, everything is provided. Our battlefield is designed to provide a mixture of challenging game maps. From high vantage points to open fields, dug out observation bunkers and the abandoned village farm, the laser combat zones will give you a taste of real military exercises and modern warfare. This is great value fun for team-building, Stags & Hens, sports teams etc and not just for kids! Why not sign up as an annual member and save £££'s? Minimum age 8 yrs old... maximum age ??? Fantastic party for my 9 year old Fortnite mad son and his friends. They absolutely loved it and so did the adults taking part. They are all making plans to go back again ASAP! Great fun! The fields have lots of realistic looking places to hide behind such as old cars which they loved. I looked at this last year as well but felt they would be too young but this year they were definitely a good age to enjoy the games and loved every minute .

I rarely give five stars but this little pub in the darkest reaches of Lancashire deserves it. I have eaten here for times so far and the food is superb, nothing fancy, but just really good. Great range of beers as well... Definitely on my return list! No veggie option!
