Katafygio-Oiti

katafygio oiti is located between the mountains giona and oiti, it is about a multiactive sports café. You could say it is an , alternative café. This place is unique in our country because, although it is not a ski center, you can enjoy free ride ski and snowboard. The location is in 1245m surrounded by the forrest ,and katafygio oiti is traditionally stone made ,according to the environment. The view is magnificent.the "pyramide" of giona. The 5th highest mountain of Greece which our visitors can admire sitting on the balcony of the cafe. You can also enjoy coffee, mountain tea, a big variety of hot chocolate ,and home made cookies sweets etc . The full of adventure activities take place all over the year but specially winter is the ideal season for katafygio oiti.

I've visited Katafygio Oiti multiple times and whatever the season was, i was fully satisfied because i'm fond of mountain activities. In Winter i had the chance to ski on pure, soft, white snow without the crowd of a ski center. Also i went for a ride into the forest with a snowmobile, it was perfect. In Summer or Autumn there are so many trails for hiking that makes this place tempting all the seasons of the year. Τhe staff is very pleasant and seems to enjoy what it's doing. So in conclusion, it's a proof that Greece has also great mountain destinaitions. And it's only 2,5 hours from Athens

If you are at Delphi, this is a must see … and you can walk through and see the exhibits in about an hour.

Vriniotis Winery

The Vriniotis family winery is based in Gialtra, a small village in northern Euboea, 14 kilometers away from Aedipsos. The winery operates throughout the year and welcomes visitors who may taste its wines in a connoisseur guest room. The panoramic view from the winery premises is captivating, for one can behold the vineyard, the northern Euboekos Gulf, Aedipsos township and the Oreoi passage that leads to the Aegean sea. The private vineyard of 100,000 square meters is located in Gialtra and at the foot of Mount Telethrion with an altitude that varies from 200 to 450 meters. On its slopes grow the red Greek varieties of Vradiano, an old variety of northern Euboea -born-again due to the efforts of the Vriniotis winemakers- together with the Mauvrokountoura variety and the cosmopolitan Syrah; along side grow the white Greek varieties of Assyrtiko, Malagouzia, Aedani and Malvasia. The northern Euboea region is known for its therapeutic thermal springs, the inactive Lichada volcano and islands and its quality wines that led Homer in the Iliad to characterize the Histiaea land as «rich in vines» (Homer, Iliad, II 537).
