The 10 Best Things to do for Honeymoon in Bath, England

July 24, 2021 Lean Nau

Known for its restorative wonders, Bath was once the home of Jane Austen. Sure, you could attempt to conjure up this elegant city by reading Pride and Prejudice in your tub, but as Bath has a lot more history than your bathroom (we assume, anyway) you'd be missing out. A stroll through Bath is like visiting an open-air museum, with roughly 5,000 buildings in the city drawing notice for their architectural merit. After your stroll, soak in the natural hot waters of the Thermae Bath Spa, once a favorite of the Celts and Romans.

The Silver Shop of Bath

Established in 1952, a family-run independent shop specialising in silver jewellery & unusual gifts. With Bath's largest collection of silver jewellery and a host of gift ideas, all set in a welcoming & relaxed atmosphere, visitors to the city really should call in at The Silver Shop. It's one of the city's longest-running shops, and one of the most popular shops for Bath's locals too.

This is a lovely shop with a vast and gorgeous range of silver jewellery, objects, gifts etc, I cannot recommend them highly enough. The service is wonderful, they are very knowledgeable and patient. I buy silver charms for my granddaughters' bracelets for their birthdays and Christmas, they have a wonderful selection and will fix the charms to the bracelets foc. Guy was very kind and posted back the bracelets to me in South Somerset as I am shielding and won't be in Bath for a while. In the meantime they have an excellent website. They are also very good value, not expensive at all. It is a treat to be able to support such an excellent independent shop.

The Hideout

Hidden away in the historical lanes of Tudor Bath is a true gem. Stone walled, wood laden and walls lined with whiskey for every taste. Legend tells us this was originally a hoard for thieves, highwaymen, scoundrels and opportunists alike, a place to laugh and cheer, make new contacts and strike deals. A meeting place for every lawless reprobate for miles around, where stories are told and drinks are shared. For years this whole in the wall was a haven for the outlaws of their day, unruliness was rife and law enforcement were scared to set a foot anywhere near. Steal from the rich and come and spend the bounty here. It was a perfect Hideout. A collection of over 150 Whisk(e)ys from all around the globe. But don't worry we have a craft cocktail list created by the team, draught beers and of course a wide range of spirits. See you soon #HiddenDrams

My husband and I stayed in Bath for a long weekend and found this “hidden gem” (pun intended) for an afternoon tipple! The staff are so welcoming, fun and helpful that we had to return the next two days! Great selection of cocktails, a quirky little bar with a friendly vibe :)
